I recently bought the Lotus Elan S4 Sprint (`70 `60s ive forgotten its old ok!). Its not much to be desired when in stock form (130bhp 4 Gears RWD 700KG) but when tuned it becomes a giant killer (230BHp 5 gears and 500kg). I mean its beaten muscle cars, 500bhp skylines and supras. Its even been able to beat my Friend Keeno_UK`s corvette and his supra. I was just wondering if anyone else has had experiences like this with seemingly poor performing cars??

My honda civic could beat a Shelby GT500. Im talking about cars that dont have that much power and have to rely on good handling and a good power to weight ratio. The lotus elise is another good example of this, being able to beat the turbo cup cars apart from on the test course.

The Tommykaira ZZII is also a mean competitor once fully modded out. So is Tom's Angel.

I win the Pacific races regularly with a Civic Si hatchback, usaully with stock exhaust. The Cusco Impreza and Kraft Tureno pretty unbeatable...with the Impreza having a edge in power. Both corner on rails. Also, the Mugen Integra is dope, and can't forget the sub-2K lb Spoon Civic & Integra.

The S2 Elan 64' is even better than the S4, especially for you PAL folks. The car does some absolutely funky things when tuned right.

Are you sure?? is the S2 even lighter than the S4. Have you tried the 90`s version of the Elan S2 that car has probably got the best FF car handling in the entire game (well apart from the mini :D )

Oh and I dont have a pal version of the game because its too slow and the rally mode sucks ass on the Pal version, I like to use my much better Japanese version, or if I want to read the car infos Ill use my american version so BAH

Yes, even in the NTSC and Japanese versions the Elan S2 is the better car. I am quite sure of this. I've been running a GT2 league for two years now, with both cars, the S2 and the S4... a Historic Cars series. The S2 is quite competitive.. the S4, not so much.
