Gift Cars - the disappointment of duplicates

Apologies if this topic has been covered previously. After receiving ‘Gift Cars’ what do you do with all the duplicates? You can’t sell them. I’ve 4 cars duplicated, (Audi TTS I’ve got three of them). After all the hard work to gain them, then they give you a car you’ve already got in your garage, very disappointing.

Is there any reason not to do this? I have held off, thinking that maybe they will let us sell them at some point, but I guess that is a pipedream.

So far the only reason I can think of is if you want to have 3 of the same car in 1 scape picture. So far that's they only way I've used all the duplicated cars that I have....and it's a bunch

There is a rule in this world, that you can't be disappointed about things that have been given to you for free. And hard work? 42 km. take like 20 minutes to do, and you would've have driven the distance no matter what, they just give you a free car as a bonus every day for doing it.

I've kept some in different colors that I can't replicate in the editor, like the McLaren VGT. Other than that I just toss them out with the bath...er, car wash water.

When I said hard work I was referring to the circuit challenges all gold gifts, driving school gifts, mission challenges gifts rather than just the completing the daily required mileage. But true, a gift is a gift!

Of the better cars you like having different liveries or custom tunes that you just leave on that car so it is always set up and ready to race on your favorite circuit are just a couple of reasons I can think of.

My garage is a little like Highlander; there can only be one (of each car). I just delete the daily cars now.

I was in a hurry for mine so bought a warehouse full of cheap Mazda Roadsters which at least I could sell at a third of the price.

I'm...okay with the duplicates. (As long as they're different colors) Mostly because I can take shots in scapes like these:

Of course, it's annoying when you get more than three of the same car.

I know this would be impossible but would be good if we was able to trade amongst friends. Or even go back to the second hand market like I’ve heard about in the previous versions of Gran Turismo.

I think it'd be great to just have an open marketplace. List the car, list the price (can't be more than 'MSRP'). I'd just list my cars for free.

That’s what I’ve been doing but there’s nowhere to use the tuned cars, racing AI isn’t very exciting.
