After skip bouncing across the track yet again last week I decided to put NFS: Shift aside at least until the next fix patch is released. In the mean time I thought about the QA testing that seemingly wasn't done on the game and wanted to find out who was responsible for that. No mention in the game manuals but the various QA team staff were identified on the game credit screens. I was surprised to see so many individuals involved in the process given the end result that we have all seen.

What I like to do is single out the QA management team and leads involved for special recognition since they are the decision makers, planners, status reporters, and all around making it happen people that always take the credit for the effort and job done. Based on the PS3 credits the following individuals stand out:

REMOVED BY MOD _ AUP VIOLATION.

I had done some Google searches on these individuals and aside from one person I found no other references to participation in the QA process for the NFS: Shift product in their various resumes and linkedin profiles. Some of these folks have been quite active in their career moving from one firm or project to another on a somewhat frequent basis. I see posting the info about their participation of the NFS: Shift project as a service in case any references to QA work on NFS: Shift is forgotten and not included in future job references.

Since GTP forum postings are available as search results for Google I would like to present this opportunity for other forum members to add their comments to the QA job done on this game and also to add other info about these folks that may be helpful to future employers doing background check research on the net for the many years to come.

Please also post any additional names to this list in case I have overlooked anyone else that should share in the credit for the QA testing or if there are others listed in the credits for the platforms other than the PS3.

With so many managers it would also be nice to know what the organizational hierarchy for the testing team was and who was the ultimate QA manager or director for the NFS: Shift effort so we can give special recognition to them as well.

I have also though of immortalizing some as part of the game process to recognize the various game anomalies that occur on an all to frequent basis. For example when my Z06 is at a standstill and won't budge at the start line I refer to it as being REMOVED or when the game play stutters and slows down to an unplayable pace it is the REMOVED. When my gear ratios dynamically change between races resulting in disappointingly slow top speeds I just got REMOVED. I am sure this community can think of other suitable tributes that these individuals can proudly have as a badge of honor as well.

While I completely understand the motivation behind your effort here, I have to admit I find this post kind of disturbing. We have no idea what internal priorities EA sent to the management team you listed above. They may have complained loudly for all we know, that they needed more time to fix the problems and were overruled.
The point is, we don't know for sure how this game made it through QA as flawed as it is, and pointing fingers and naming names like this, possibly affecting these peoples future employment, starts to tread on dangerous legal ground.

I've been complaining about the problems with this title since I got it (my latest complaint was just today! https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=3640993&postcount=51 ) so I understand exactly where you're coming from, but I'm going to pass on assigning the blame to individuals and just resolve not to buy anymore EA titles.

You sir are a Jackass. I'm sorry, but there is no other way to put it. You play a video game and are disappointed with a few of the quirks which are being fixed currently. They (your list) work and eat because of their employment. You have no clue to whom the blame to these problems lie, but simply want to post up whatever names you googled in an effort to pump up your E-Ego while hoping to damage these individuals future carriers.

Grow up. Get a life. Get a Job.

They had a deadline to meet and they met it. That's the reason it was rushed out with the biggest list of bugs i have ever seen in a single game. they needed to get it out before Forza 3 was on the shelves. I mean who is really going to buy this on Xbox after Forza 3 is out?

It's a fact that this game sold more copies on the PS3 than on the Xbox. That is very rare since the Xbox is the more popular console. This is because a lot of the Xbox guys were waiting for Forza 3.

I agree that this thread is a little extreme.

Wow.

Let us take a breath here and remember what this is - a game.

Stop e-stalking members of the team. It isn't ethical, proper, or typical. You are making this into nearly personal vendetta, and that just isn't healthy.

I suggest you play another game till a patch comes out, or just sell Shift and wait for GT5 or buy an XBOX and Forza 3. And that you stop obsessing over this.

I don't see this as a real big deal? He hasn't supplied us with the actual personal info for the members if the QA team that he found.

Luckily :)

...and this thread quite simply dances around the margins of that section of it.

I'm editing the first post to remove all personal info from it and locking this thread, the OP should also be aware that any repeat of this kind of activity (particularly as you don't know the full internal story behind this at all) will lead to infractions being issued.
