Hello to all my fellow tuners both old and new. I have been watching what has been happening with the Tuner Garage Battle and as I hinted in that thread I had a plan in mind to make things right and this is what it is.

The inspiration for this came from a battle between Rotary Junkie & I, where he soundly kicked my Citroen C4's butt (which will be found in GME when I launch) with his Volvo C-30R (which can be found in RKM's garage presently) and we actually had some really good fun against eachother around a couple of tracks (Nurburgring, GVS). 👍

So the plan is to expand on the little battle that we had, to have you guys represent your garages and to test your cars against eachother in a more real-time format. No one car for all rule here folks, no voting, no BS involved. Just bring your tuned car along and race against the other garages to show that your car is the best car, period. Each track day will have races on several tracks so that we can use quite a few cars each time.

Now the problem for me was how do I regulate this?? Quite simply actually. We are going to have it based on horsepower restrictions, much the same as what happens online and you bring whatever car you want to the race, so long as it meets regulations. Now, at the moment I am going to focus more on road cars as not many tuners have race car tunes.

Now I want to find out which garages are brave enough to come out of the woodwork, to show the rest of the tuning community who truly makes the best cars! Keep in mind this is for builders only, no test monkeys are allowed in this. So it's a case of you built it, you race it.

If you are interested, drop a post on here and let me know, or you can hit me up via my PSN (which is under my avatar!) so I can put you on the list. Keep in mind there are only enough spots to fill an online room so it's a case of first in, best dressed. So step up and represent your garage now!!

If the time isn't too ridiculous for me, I'll be happy to join RJ in kicking your arse. :P

no test monkeys are allowed in this.

Dammit :(

Better question... What does it take to 'qualify' as 'I built it'
Are we required to have a dedicated thread, with that build publicly posted?
I've got a few tunes that I've designed specific for online racing, but I don't post them publicly, but I've got a handful of cars that I've tuned myself for online racing?

Good question Adreniline. This is primarily for the established garages that have tunes publicly posted, however I will on occasion hold a day where upcoming or "secret" tunes will be allowed against eachother.

Also to note, if you only have one or two cars in your garage then this will not be the best concept for you as we would be racing 5 or more cars EACH track day. It also depends on how long you want to stay in the room too, so you might want to be there only for one race which is fine aswell, but let me know that this is the case as other people will inevitably want to get in and if there's a free spot in the room after someone departs, I'd want to get another person in there so they can have the chance to race aswell.

4 spots down (myself, Roj, D-R & budious) already. Loving the instant response too guys, thanks!! :D:tup:

I'm more so interested in just racing with people from the site I actually know, rather than random people in random rooms. I find the online experience much more enjoyable when you know the people you're racing against, regardless of how well.
So, I'll add you on PSN, and if there's a free spot on any track day, maybe I can join.

Pretty much.

:D

Keep the hell off race tires on street cars though, you know homie don't play that.

Okay, just for you RJ we'll have an 897hp limit on Comfort Hard's!! :P

About a bloody time you showed up. :P It's gonna be a blast..

I haven't shown up yet (thank RJ for that, damn Volvo! ) but things are very much on the horizon for GME to launch at anytime once the C4's kinks are ironed out (AGAIN!). I've been trying to focus on a lot of specific yet different areas (ie. drag, top speed, drift, circuit) with my tunes so my layout will be different to GME's GT4 layout.

6 down, 10 to go.

*added bit* Which is your garage Blade??

M-POWER_FTW = I will be endeavouring to do that for the track days, but will find it hard to switch between players through the replay, or I'll focus on one good race and try to switch players if I can do so to show good battles throughout the field.

Not tonight, this is merely an expression of interest thread at the moment. You should expect Track Day 1 to happen in a week or two. 👍

I'm hopping off at the moment, so any further questions can be directed at me through PSN if you need your answer immediately. 👍

Whatever's easiest for you. Just curious to see the outcome.

Rooting for you, Deutsch!

Best of luck to all!

You know I'll be in, as soon as my pedal parts arrive, and are fitted, and work.;) I'm expecting them within a week or two, coming from the Land of Roj. Do you think you'll ever use weight limits? Otherwise we may as well all grab a Suzuki GSX-R/4 or Caterham every time.

They can be implemented if need be, but I think you guys are mature enough not to do such things. 👍 One race might be just caterhams vs gsxr4's aswell, this format of line up and race allows for a lot of flexibility.

8 Spots down, 8 to go!! The following are confirmed:

Rotary Junkie
VtiRoj
Deutsch Rennen
budious
Leonidae
Paulie
mafia_boy
Blade2322

Leo, should I be reserving a spot for Greycap aswell??

Seperately, I'm considering letting Adrenaline in as he has been reviewing all your rides.

Time for an update since it's been a few days since any activity has occurred in this thread.

Currently folks we have 7 seperate garages (including myself) that will be competing against eachother in the first TTD. However, in the database there are 28 garages (excluding myself) that already have cars tuned and publicly posted for people to use. That means there's 22 tuning garages that haven't taken up the challenge and there's only 8 spots left. This is the perfect opportunity for a lot of the newer garages (and some older garages) to join in and have the best cars from the best garages racing against eachother. 👍

Remember guys, this is for fun.....we're not looking to have full leaderboards, it's just a chance for all of us who tune cars and have garages to join up together (like a car show or a cruise) and just kick back having a laugh with eachother while racing our various tunes against one another. One race it could be RKM, the next it could be MFT or LDP, the next could be you or I!! :dopey:

Who knows, in this first one you could get your butt whipped (I'm expecting to get spanked myself!! ) but you end up learning so much from that experience that you come back stronger at the next track day and provide the butt whippings instead of receiving them. So long as we enjoy it all, that's the main point of these track days and I hope that the people who haven't joined yet do so. 👍

I await your response tuners!!

I can never figure out why they still call it TLD when it's been LDP for a very long time now.:sly: My poentiometers came today, hopefully they do the trick I've just got to get them fitted now.

So if the spots don't get filled would you like a freelancer along for the ride, maybe? :) If it's ok with you and the others of course.

No if the spots don't get filled they are taken by Trans Tasman Racing drivers all using various Lion's Den Performance tunes.:sly: Nah I'm just kidding, it's up to Mafs of course.

^^^ LoL

Its all good though, whatever Mafia Boy decides. If all the spots get filled then I'll pass, but if some stay open I would love to join you guys. 👍

Force of habit. Sorry Paulie, have edited previous post. 👍:)

Depending on how things go, I might open it up to a few select drivers but the point of the Tuning Track Day was to have no test monkeys.......I might relent to it though.

G2G, work calls.

Hmmmm, I'm reluctant because my tunes are great but my driving is not so hot...and I use DS3 ;)

Erm.....

Ah go on then!

I'm in :)

Be gentle lol

I dropped my pedals off this afternoon to get the potentiometers replaced, I have no idea when I'll actually get them back, it shouldn't take him too long but when he gets time to do it is the unknown. If this works I'll be beating ya'll with a GNX vs an NSX.:P Nah that isn't likely to happen.
