Going for Gold...

I've been going crazy on GT5 trying to get gold on every event...I've gotten gold on all of the license tests and majority of the special events, excluding the S.Vettel challenge and the Alfa 8C trial at Eiger Nordwand...

Currently, I possess only a DS3 and I was wondering what the optimal settings are for achieving gold on these events...I'm close to silver on the S.Vettel races after a ton of practice. I need the platinum trophy -_-

I've used search and previous threads suggest practice, practice, practice! But I'll get oh-so-very very close on one trial...and go flying off the track in the next. Has anyone actually gotten gold on these with just a DS3?

There's a darn good reason why this has been repeated to you so oft. =/

The 8C event is made difficult with TC on, as is the Rally event. The rest you could likely get away with it using aids though I'd advise against using them.

It's more than possible with DS3, including the Vettel events*. It's just down to ability and practice.

*The Vettel events are definitely easier with the wheel as you have more precise control, but it's still possible 👍

I practiced to the point where the triggers left indentations in my fingers O_o

I completed the rally event with gold..I'll make sure assists are off next time before I set off in the 8C event...I'm just a second or two down and I can't find where to make up that time!

I'll just practice the tracks in arcade mode with the x2010...haven't don't that yet haha

I did. I got a lucky drift exit out of the tight corners that pushed me just under the gold time.
