- Volkswagen Golf IV GTI 200KM Endurance Series -

Forget all those beast cars with 500+ bhp. Its time to bring out the small guns. With the Golf GTI RM, the cars handle extremely well and easy newcomers, yet hard to master. Maybe not for others. Than again, its a car i love driving and testing new tracks that i create. So i enjoy it very much and decided, why the now have an all GTI Endurance race that will run for 200km.

I will hopefully run this series on most of the tracks in the game, as well as created tracks that i have done through out my GT5 Career. Now the beauty of this is that it wont be held every week or 2. It will most likely happen on a every-3-weeks basis. What will happen is I will check what possible dates i can host the race, and give out options for the members to choose. But one thing is for sure, the dates will be as much as possible to be on either Thursday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, all around 7 or 8 GMT. That is of course up for discussion, but i would rather pick a date after every round due to my schedule, and i wont be able to predict my next available time until the end of the current month. So, basically, within couple of days, i will receive my new Rostered Schedule and i should be able to give you guys a date or 2 when it would be possible to start this series.

Now that we have the dates understood, we will go into the good stuff. The car. As the Series Title indicates, it will be the Volkswagen Golf IV GTI Race Modified '01. So you buy ur Golf IV GTI '01, Race Modify it, add all the bells and whistles by tuning it. You will get the following specifications.

CAR SPECIFICATION:
Car: VW Gold IV GTI RM '01
Displacement: 1781 cc
Max. Power: 315 bhp / 7500 rpm
Max. Torque: 35 kgfm / 5900 rpm
Drivetrain: FF
Weight: 980 kg
PP: 498
Tyres: Medium Racing Tyres

Now that the car info is settled, I will move onto the tracks we will be racing on. As i mentioned earlier, i would love to race as much as possible on tracks that i have created in GT5. Of course, if that is the case, i will be sharing the track on my account for everyone to practice on it, and will give plenty of time for the members to do so. A minimum of 2 weeks at least. I would rather go with an real world track/city for one race, followed by a created a track and alternate between after every race.

Tracks from the game i would love to use would be the ones with weather effects in them to create some kind of tragedy to the race. Now the Golfs wouldn't be hard to drive in the rain as the regulation's will have the effect on Low. But still, it will hopefully be dramatic enough. So here are the tracks that i would like to use:

TRACKS:
Circuit Spa-Francorchamps: Change Weather
Autodromo Nazional Monza: Change Weather
Circuit de la Sarthe 2009: Change Weather / Change Time
Nurburgring Nordschleife: Change Weather / Change Time
Suzuka Circuit: Change Weather
High Speed Ring: Change Weather
Created Circuits: Change Weather / Change Time

Here are the settings i will be using for races, will also put the settings for weather and time changeable.

RACE SETTINGS:
No. of Laps: TBD (200km +1)
Tyres: Racing - Medium (Rain if needed)
Driving Line: Up for Discussion
Traction Control: OFF
Skid Recovery Force: OFF
Active Steering: OFF
ASM: OFF
ABS: ON (1)
Tyre / Fuel Depletion: ON
Grip Reduction on Wet Track / Track Edge: Low (Maybe Real?)
Mechanical Damage: Low

TRACK SETTINGS:
Time: Track Dependent
Time Progression: Track Dependent (Either 1, 15 or 30)
Weather at Race Start: 25%
Weather Changeability: 6
Surface Water at Race Start: 0%

So there you have it. The basic of the the Series. More to follow once i receive interest. In the end, its meant to be for fun, clean racing with bragging rights on the line. If you have any questions, let me know. 👍

Looks nice moem, just 1 thing, would you have Medium and Hard Tyres or just mediums?

Hard would be ok. I mentioned Medium cause if Softs are used, one will have to put every 5 or 6 laps on certain tracks. 👍
