For some reason my transmission cannot be set at those settings. My first gear cannot get that short, and I notice this problem a lot when I am trying other peoples tunes. I can never set the transmission the way it is on their tune.

Porta, try putting the first top speed then the final (top right corner). I noticed that gear ratios change with different top speed settings. Did you start ay 180 or end there? Hope this helps

I've Just taken a look at the transmission. I reset the the settings and moved the max speed to 180 MPH. Turns out that gear ratios are the same as my "tuned" ones. I've then just moved up the final gear to 4.850 for more acceleration.

I'm loading GT5 now to give this tune a try. It'll be Tokyo R246. I'll give untuned times then your tune. I have already maxed this car on upgrades though, so it'll be a bit different.

edit: tune didn't work with more upgrades, so I just bought another one

Ok thanks you for trying the tune and don't be worried with the feedback. I'd prefer a true opinion of it being rubbish as opposed to a lie about it's greatness. :)

does body weight reduction mean body color carbon hood? and hp/tq/pp stats are nice in the OP tune as well.

First thing I notice is the only change I had to make to the trans other than top speed and final gear was about 0.005 points on 1st gear. I usually go with Praiano's trans tuning advice as it tends to deliver power more evenly throughout the gear range, albeit less top speed which can be remedied with different top speed settings in the beginning.

I didn't bother testing it without the tune, as the untuned maxed out mods one is a bit too sluggish for my liking. A great hot hatch though. Now, on to your tune:
I found it a bit too stiff around the corners of Japan, but once used to it not a bad car. I just didn't like how late I was getting on the gas out of a corner.

VW Golf VI R '10
HP: 324
TQ: 293
PP: 487
S3 tires, Tokyo R246
your tune, 1:59.395
My slight modifications to your tune, 1:58.297
Try this:
Trans in this order:
reset to default
final gear 4.85
top speed 193
1st- 2.119
2nd- 1.563
3rd- 1.203
4th- 0.957
5th- 0.785
6th- 0.667
top speed in top right corner will be 183mph

Suspension:
height: -20/-24
damp ext: 7/6
damp comp: 7/6

Brakes:
7/6

All the rest is the same, but I found softening the rear gave a more planted feeling to the car. This in turn allowed me to get more speed leaving a corner faster.

Does any one have a realistic tune for this car? i like to cruise a lot and am trying to find a realistic tune that would match up to the real life car. im using a g27 if it helps.
Thanks for your help

thx Porta, and jtqmopar, real fun little car, I had a play around as I need this at 500 pp, but great starting point for me to work off, and on small bendy tracks it's ace.

Your instructions for this didn't work, I instead got closer by putting it to 350km/h (not 310 = 193), and managed 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. 5th maxed at .770 and 6th maxed at 0.628

Reversing final gear and top speed didn't help either.

Could you take another look at this please?
