I have plenty of cars that are competitive online at the 500 and above range but when I get in a room that sets the HP at around 350 to 400 they pull away. I did a complete upgrade on the chrome line m3, trans, suspension, I think reduced weight if it allowed me, but it doesn't seem to do the trick. Any suggestions on a good car? I tried the prize 350z , upgraded it as well but tried to keep it under 400hp and I still couldn't run with them down the straights. Did some adjusting to the trans but still no go. I think something I can lighted up a little would help. I think the m3 only goes down to about 1300kg.

Any suggestions and maybe a general tune setting would be helpful.

Thanks

Good question. I am not sure but I can tell you at 309hp the Lotus 111R RM is very good.

The 69 Z28 RM will fall into that range if you do not overdo the upgrades and should run good.

Edit: Also you may want to look at the Series One Shelby I think it has like 385 stock and runs very nice and handles well.

The RE Amemiya RX7 FD3S has 383HP (or something close, I had to convert from kW) after an oil change and the engine braking in. It takes little to get it close to 400HP.
It has quite a nice amount of downforce and handles like a dream.

At roughly 2400lbs (1240kg) stock it's not very heavy either. A total beast on any track that features some corners 👍

That RX7 sounds nice in that class. I will have to get one of those. I always liked the RX7s :)

Beetle rsi ;)

The VW? LOL I have a 650 HP VW GTI I think it is and it moves like a Yaris. I Upgraded the heck out of it thinking it would go and it didn't. Don't know where the HP is going but not to the wheels.

Does the Z28 handle though? I figured those to be more of a strait line car?

How much is it? I may try that one.

The Z28 drives real nice with the race mod on it. Plenty of downforce and looks really good with those big tires under it. I used it in the Classic Race car event on deep forest and while it was not as fast as the Toyota some late braking and blocking here and there did the trick. Handling was never an issue with it.

I'm a big fan of the Ferrari 512BB. Stock it has 355hp. It is an old design so it's probably pretty light. The brakes suck though. Of course you could mod that (mine's still stock right now).

The RE-Amemiya FD3S pricetag is $100,000. I also find it a great car for eating corners, but I still prefer the NSX type r over the FD. Response is great with the natural aspirated motor, compared to the twin turbo FD. Plus the NSX has a better layout, Midship rearwheel drive. compared to Front mid-engine on the FD.

I think it is all preference though, they both get similar times on the Nurburgring when I did time trials for them.

BTW About the Z28 it is the one at the new car dealer the one from the used car lot can not be race modded.

I say the Lancia Delta HF. Fully modded it has around 426 hp and is light weight with all wheel drive. Snappy little car. Plus nothing like a fast Italian shoebox :p

A Nismo 400R would fit the bill quite well. If you happen to have the credits to burn, then get either an Evo-Lancer or STI and upgrade till you get close to 400hp. A 370Z or Skyline R34 would also work if you upgrade it.
