Good DS3 Technique

I need a good technique for drifting with a DS3. The car's I use are S13's, AE86's and other traditional Japanese drift car's. At the moment I just turn in to a corner, dab the handbrake, counter-steer and throttle through the corner. On tighter corner's I drift good but the car snaps back coming out of corner's resulting in a spin. On a long sweeping corner a.k.a. Tsukuba's last corner the car never has enough slide and I understeer off the track or have to straighten up half-way through the corner. If someone could tell me a technique that would be great and remember i'm only using a DS3.

Dont always mash the throttle through the turns feather the throttle (I always use the right analog stick for better throttle control)

driving towards the corner, steer softly away from the corner while lightly braking then violently into it while tapping the ebrake then release both brakes and press the counter steer button and ease onto/ or mash the gas. adjust the ammount of steering / gassing to keep your vehicle at a constant angle which should probably be the direction of the road exiting the corner. press the look back button and look at the smoke.

oh I see you already do all that.

to hook up instead of either spinning out at the end of the corner or swerving into the wall

just let go of everything for a sec to let everything settle and THEN drive away

for longer corners . . .

either more practice.
more gas and more countersteer

or do a 4 wheel slide and steer into the corner when your line widens

Man your not really gonna learn anything by asking how to do it you just need to FEEL it practice it noone got it the first time and try comfort hards or softs and be sure its FR,MR,or RR 👍👍👍

hey, yeah, that's a cool idea! I have circle and square left unmapped I think. . . but I like that idea - I always try to think of a way to * hide * the fact I'm using ds3, so I practiced a while at trying to use the steering as little as possible.

If you have it pressed to the edge always, then you would be forced to do longer smoother looking inputs, less jerky tappy stuff =D =D
Can't wait to try it after school (read: 13 hours from now . . . X_X fml )

edit:

But really . . . don't, under any circumstance, ever EVER use the d-pad to steer. go ahead and map them to like windshield wipers, horn, and headlights Xp
