Good nascar Daytona Setup, all the others just wont do

I've looked around and around and I need an epic set up for Daytona, with boost on and what not this guy was pulling crazy lap times into the 39-37 second range out in the open with no draft. CRAZY?! Does anyone know of a setup like this and if you don't want to give it out in the open just send it to me in a private message. Thanks

Well thank you Dr. Slump because I haven't been around here long enough...but I have looked and there are no 37 second lap setups for Daytona nor 40-50 lap lasting tire setups...most are underground hence why I said PM me if you know of one. Also the guy that I mention in the op was pulling these lap times in first with high boost on for all following him and he was actually pulling better times then the guys with boost in the back. I don't understand this and I think he may have cheated or had an epic tune that I'd like to find.

It's boost, any and all lap times are immediately pointless to discuss.

No tune in the world is faster than 41.xxx (without boost or drafting, of course). You can find some very fast middle 41sec tunes in the sticky thread.
You can drive 40laps with them, you just have to be veeerrryyy careful. I know 50 laps is another story, but first, it doesn't happen every time and the driver must know what he's doing.

What might have happened, first place was crossing the start/ finish line when someone was exiting, and if first was good at drafting cars they can draft off of last place but if first would make a mistake last place will pull away. I also came across a room where a lapped car was in third place helping out first and second and they was getting close to mid 38.xxx .

To me I think that is almost worst than someone going backwards taking people out. :-/

That what you explain is probably the reason, yes.

I love to drive with boost off. You can find the good and bad drivers, drivers who you would want to draft with and drivers you DO NOT want to be near.

So a driver leading half the race and consistantly pulling away from the pack would still happen? I thought boost was strongest for the last place car and weakest for the first place car? The only reason I ask for a setup is that this guy tuned his car prior to the race and for two straight races came from the back of the pack into first and led 5-7 laps each race pulling away from the pack even with me and another guy drafting off each other trying to catch him. To me I think he either knows an amazingly good tune that defies GT thinking or more likely he cheated.

hes saying last place car has boost, so if last car is lapped the guy and first can grab last places draft. Inadvertingly givng the guy in first place boost as well. the 37 or 38's the guy in last place was pulling is now pulling the leader at that pace. I've done this before, and had my car no less then 235 around the track. it's effective. But not many ppl run boost, because all the time you put into your tune is worthless.

However, first place was able to pull away from the rest of us even with us drafting. He was not gaining a draft off of a last place car or anything like that. Look I've given you guys everything the driver of the first place car did. I'm not mistaken because this is the first time I've seen anyone in first while boost is on pull away from the group. Yes I was in the race I obviously state this when I say me and a guy were drafting off each other.

It's a boost race.He has a setup you don't have so it is what it is.Boost racing is for unskilled tuners and drivers in my opinion.Dude there are set-ups that can run low 41.00 second lap times.Look and you will find them.Get into a room with no boost and watch 5 guys draft and do a 38.00 lap.That my friend takes some serious driving skill and set-up knowledge.If you want a set-up look for me tonight at around 11.30 pm EST and I'll give you a couple.

I know what boost does and I've raced races with no boost and won. The setup I have now on my Joey Lagano Gamestop car allows me to run low 41s to high 40s just fine. I just set this up to ask if anyone knew of a tune without drafting that allowed 39-37second laps times without any draft partners or without the worry of a car with boost on catching you. I don't think anyone is assuming you just bought the game yesterday.But in reality it is a boost race.Boost,go faster,what else needs to be said.

I said a couple times now that the answer to my question is no there is no setup I understand. I was just restating my reason for setting this up, and if that means you guys must throw stones then just don't bother to post. I've accepted what you people have said here and consider the answer to be that there is no setups and probably aren't any unless I happen to stumble on one.

Kind of hard to believe considering a perfectly tuned FGT does that in about 38 seconds...

As of now I have not seen any glitch or lag that will do this. But my opinion boost is glitch, it basically makes all the time I put into my car go down the drain because that guy with a recommended car now has a way to catch me....SMH you should not be in a boost room....

After this I no longer go to boost rooms because I think I'm more willing to agree with Master than most of the people here who usually don't join those rooms. I think it could have very well been a glitch, but he did it for two straight races and acted smug about it over the comments that he was able to easily beat us all two straight races. Hence why I thought he may have had lag help, or now a glitch, or cheated or just a far superior tune then most have so far. Thanks Master!!!

Boost is in my opinion is for dirty Nascar and for people who can't tune or drive.SMH come join me or Herbie in one of our rooms and we will gladly show you how a set-up and driving skill are used.
