Zoom Player is a very good media player. it is alot better than windows media player, or divx's 'the playa'.

Cool Beans System Info is a very interesting program. it displays a CPU usage/memory usage/swap file meter, and a network speedometer (up and down).

Cacheman is a very good memory management tool, it also displays a memory usage meter, and it has auto clear functions, etc.

Trillian is the best IM program, period. MSN/AIM/ICQ/YIM all in one. (the IRC isn't great though).

i use all of these programs, and they're all very good.

McAffe VirusScan 7.0 - Is a good antivirus program.

I think CacheBoost by SysTweak was a very good memory management tool, but my trial ran out and it is impossible to crack. I'm going to buy it when I get the money.

I might revisit Trillian at some point. I was using it for a while and didn't really like it. It seemed to have difficulty signing into Yahoo, and didn't really handle the statuses correctly. Since I spend a lot of time away from the computer, this is quite important to me, but it seemed unable to deal with telling all the services that I wasn't at my desk. Perhaps this has been sorted now though.

Trillian Pro is by far the best version of Trillian they have made so far. I highly recommend it.

Zone Alarm is pretty good, and they have a freeware version of it. I don't like using ZA though, it messes with my games too much, but for people that don't use the internet for things other than browsing, downloading files, and checking email &c, it's pretty good.
