Very nice, very expensive, but $10 this thread gets locked for advertising. Too bad I'm already building my own cockpit.:P (Not that I'd pay that much anyway)

jeez it's expensive and looks rubbish concept of the design is good but i'v seen better custom built things then this. Looks like advertising to me

Advertising by who? Me ? Your kidding right ?

Yeah i agree its pricey but I like the design idea of being able to fold it up.. It should still be on wheels or at least have two jockey wheels to allow you to roll it out of the way once its folded (otherwise you wouldnt bother folding it up right ?)

Hows your cockpit going anyway, there is another forum that has a huge Home Built cockpits thread happening with some great ideas and builds in there

Hope this dont get locked, its not really advertising more showing us an uber sweet setup.

While the price is high its also cheap a few setups i have seen at the car shows and electronic/gaming shows have all been over 2grand and dont look half as good.

I have a clean setup already for my wheels but just moved and now dont have room to set my wheel up for a while.
I will bookmark the link and keep it handy as i might get one if my wheel setup brakes,
I think the quality is good, on the video it showed it was stable and anything and heaps easy to get in and out, very nice

Oh and did you look at the pics? heaps of celbs using the wheel, Rick Kelly looked like he was having fun with it.

cheers 888.

G'Day Blokes...:D
Yeah I haven't got a wheel currently, But if I get one, I'll probably get one fabricated locally. Actually that gives me an indea, I might start conceptual sketches of how I want it to look! :dopey:

Yeah it was the pics that made me think it worth posting here. It doesnt look like they are targeting the retail market, however I saw the ad for it in a local sydney news paper... I think some of the more pricey units that look similar to this have the speakers built in as well, which is not something I would want.
I suppose to me it doesnt matter, the chances of me ever buying something like this are slim to non-existant :)

CAD it up man !! :) and post the pics
I think anyone with the right tools should be able to fab something up out of box tubing pretty easily.. seats are cheap, not much else you need except somewhere to store it

It's going alright, the seat is complete, just need a table for the wheel now, and I'll figure out something better for the shifter another day, until then it will be paddles. I'll definitely post pics of my setup when complete. It's not super you beaut (I'm glad this is an Aussie thread so you understand that ), but I'm sure people will appreciate it for the practicality, and cost. ($40 only for car seat remember?:D) We had the rest of the materials here.

Hah, we thought this was expensive, there's one in the current Top Gear Australia mag that's $7k! Their recommendation? Get a couple and race your mates. Alternatively, get 2 real cars and really race your mates.
