Since around 3 days ago I've noticed Google Chrome has been running really slow i.e. taking forever to load web pages and switch between tabs. I'm using IE right now and it's running much faster than Chrome (something I never thought I'd say). I noticed I had a few dodgy extensions (probably malware) such as Gosauve, deleted them, ran adwcleaner, avast, malwarebytes. I even reinstalled chrome and did a system restore still with no luck.

Any of you guys have any ideas for what to do?

Did you reset your Chrome settings itself? It's settings are stored within Chrome and this is connected to your profile in c:\users\"username"\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome if I remember correctly.

Within Chrome:
"HotDog" Bar
Settings
Advanced
Reset Browser Settings

Also happened here, so I sent Chrome to hell (along with Firefox, which was working even slower than Chrome) and went with Opera. I'm a convert now, really good, fast browser, and eats half of the resources that Chrome uses.

Chrome uses certificate lookups that have gone into overdrive since Shellshock.

Don't use Chrome is the answer, and always was, it's leaky and horrid.
