...actually yesterday, since it's after midnight.

Man, I raced about 6 races in a row at Sazuka (mid to late afternoon) and got knocked into the sand, grass, other cars, like I was a punching bag. Usually in the early going...but then I'm so far behind that I can never catch the leader with my slow but steady Lotus. And when I caught one of the culprits, look out bacuase they'd do it again.

Now, I'm no saint. Now and then I get over zealous and think I can sneak into the corner under somebody and bump them...but I won't take the position because I caused an off. (and I feel badly if I cause someone to lose a lot of track space to the leaders) But these guys knocked me (and each other) asside and just kept on goin'.

Well, I decided that I'd run 1 more race before dinner and I'd try and get to the front no matter what...just to show 'em what it was like. Well, after 3 laps I got to the front using the tactics that were used against me.
I won by 10+ seconds.

Then I get a message from one of the racers. A couple of words related to intercourse. :) Boy I'll tell ya. I guess it sure feels different when you're on the other end of it.

It would be nice if PD created a system to save meatball's IDs to a personal black list of drivers to avoid. I've been in your situation, but the same racers aren't always in subsequent races, and unless you're paying close enough attention to driver's IDs, I found it difficult to deal out just deserts to offending players in later races. What I do if I venture into a intermediate race is to turn on all driver aids, especially stability control (it helps when they try to run you off the road).

I had one strange outing on Suzuka in expert mode, and it was just me and another driver, we exchanged paint a couple of times during the race, and if I caused an off, I'd yield position and restart the chase. Then all of a sudden they had a change of heart on the back straight during the final lap, as I was pulling along side them to make a clean pass, well before the breaking zone, they rammed me, knocking me right into the guardrail. Out of nowhere, WTF!

The most frustrating outing I had at Suzuka, was another expert race with just one other driver, and as soon as I was behind them, they'd slam on the brakes, and I'd get a ramming penalty. I was clearly quicker in every way on the track, and they used this technique on me throughout the race. Oh what I would have given to have been able to morph my car into an M1 tank and squashed them like a bug.

It really sucks that there are those out there who do their best to ruin any chance of having any fun. And when you factor the long wait times to match racers, such bozos can really cost you hours of your life, in frustration.

That happened alot to me on the Eiger FWD race not too long ago. A german bloke was always on my tail in his type are. We were both ducking and weaving in and out of 1st and then ALWAYS (this is like 6 races, not in a row) when I'm ahead on the last corner, he rams be - just so he can get 5k more than usual. It's Pathetic.
There was another time on a Z06 vs GTR vs 430 race at Fuji, this guy from New Zealand always rammed me (not hard but you could tell it was intentional). It lost me heaps of time but I kept fighting back and overtook him on the straight going into the last lap. I thought "this time, he's going to be desparate" so I braked where I usually would following the racing line, but abruptly I yanked the wheel so I'd be on the other side of the road. Weird driving line, I know, but it worked with his GTR flashing across my rearview mirror and into the sand at the end of the straight.

The only time I have been messaged was when I killed somebody on GTA ONCE when they did it to me at least seven. In those cases, I really think people are either on drugs or absolutly wasted with alcohol and you hear them on the earpiece and they sound TOTALLY smashed.

You're absolutely right. It's had to remember some of the names of racers (especially on my projection tv with the convergence constantly in need of resetting). But I saw many of the same people out there for many of the races. One guy whom I raced from the beginning was a clean racer but even HE got into the act towards the end.

Something else that is quite childish is the people that drive in the WRONG DIRECTION. :) ok, so they're getting beat badly....but how is THAT any fun? I usually try and wait for them to race with them but sometimes they're SO BAD that I just take off and drive the track. Occasionly I don't wait to race them because I'm still trying to figure out my setup.
To me they're just wasting their time and learning nothing.

We need a private room for GTP members only - Basically, the admins here could confirm true GTP members to be allowed access into the GTP room. I'd love it if that happened, it would make GT5p sooooo much better...
