Got better at DriveClub from playing Project Cars

I used to suck really bad at DC, always came in last place in various races. Because Project Cars has so many ways to adjust the settings and assistance to my skill level I became a better driver. The driving guideline in PC was key in getting better at racing, and now I can drive without it on all racers. :)

DriveClub IMO was a more difficult game than PC when I first started playing them both.

Love both these games.

What I keep finding in Driveclub is that there are small pockets of time to be found.
All I do is Time Trial, and there usually seems to be more to learn.. though since DC is
a game when I say 'learn' I also mean learn where the game wants you to go to be fastest.
At Munnar, India, I have times that are seconds faster than the current #1 Leaderboard
ones- because I discovered some time hidden in corners I assumed I already understood.

As far as Pcars (and now F1 2015) I think its silly when guys treat one or the other as being
somehow harder to drive. They ARE harder to discover good setups for. They ARE harder to
figure out what FFB settings to use. They ARE harder to make work with my T500 wheel.. :)
But they arent harder to drive; the challenge is just different in different games.

I could be fast in PCars but I honestly dont want the bother of all those setups- never mind
the cars, but loads of setups just in the FFB menus. Its retarded. If thats what 'sim' means I
would rather eat bugs off the sidewalk than do it.

Same story here. I play project cars on the ps4 with my wheel and drive club is much easier to play and I was able to set faster lap times after I drove a bunch of cars in PCars.

Good on ya @Bricks50 - all of these games have their own ways, as has been mentioned; in the end though, it's all down to being comfortable with taking on that challenge.

In support of your findings, I've found that my extensive rally game driving experience has helped me, which may seem odd, but when you consider the following quote, it makes sense with regard to Driveclub: "Track drivers see the same corner a thousand times, rally drivers see a thousand corners once."
