Really good book, all about restoring the bodywork and all things mechanical. Looks at 1.6 and 2.8 litre engines, and how to change the Carb for a better version from Weber.
Cool. Crapris [] are kitsch, in a weird sort of way. Still, they'll have toi fight hard to shake off their "kevin" image,
I've only ever wanted one capri, and it wasn't really down to the capri. It did the 1/4 mile in the 12 second mark. Had 4WD Cossie power/transmission, with laughing gas for...um....laughing.
If you got a good 2..8 [good ones being very rare. They are either far too "keenly" priced or rusted like a *****] that'd be a pretty sweet buy. I recently bought a cheap Escort RS2000 [mk2, or 5!] and have got a Haynes manual in-hand, so when I get bored next year, I'll start to take it to bits and rebuld it, hopefully ready for next summer.
Old UK Fords rule!
Hopefully I'll be getting one in the next couple of years when my sisters life insurance policy comes through (She's offered to buy it on the grounds that I looks after the mechanics)
