+/-$7000 worth of gear in one tidy picture.

I like it! 👍

lol More like 8k-9k, but yeah. haha

I just love photography so... Yeah...

lol Though, I could have gotten a really good cockpit too for GT5, but nah... haha

I'm a hardcore GT5 fan, but photography is more precious to me.

I'll post pictures soon guys from this beauty...

I now have a total of 5 body's

EOS 5D
EOS 5D Mark II
EOS 7D
EOS 1D Mark II N
EOS 1D Mark IV

I'm thinking of selling the 5D to help fund a tilt-shift lens I'm after...

Yeah, I agree. That's...kind of insane. I would be happy with just one of those. Any of them.

Each DSLR has their own quirks to them that makes them unique. For example, the 5D Mark II and the 5D are perfect for studio photography because of their full frame sensor, but not very useful for sports or wildlife because of their low framerate.

Of course, however you can always adjust your style to compensate. Plus, I was just expressing you are lucky to have such equipment as I have nothing of the sort.

I'm just happy I have a $175 10MP Fujifilm camera but with 8k-9k of cash you would be able to get a nice dependable used car. But of course photography is not a career I will be going into anytime soon. I'd rather tinker with computers and make photography just a hobby.

Wow Asane, very nice kit indeed. I have the "lightweight" setup of yours, Canon 50d with a 70-200 f4L IS USM. I feel like I have spoilt myself but it's nothing on the level of yours! How much are you thinking of letting the 5D body go for? Do you have a website where you post your latest pics?

Nice collection of bodies. We have a thread here with everyone's equipment lists if you wish to share.

What lenses are you sporting (apart from the 70-200 obviously) with all these cool bodies?

Gear Overload!!!

7D though? What use do you find in that, other than a backup body I guess?

I use it as a backup, and actually my least used camera. It's freaking incredible for HD video though.

Here's where I posted some of my pictures here in gtplanet if you guys didn't see it...

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=126892

I'll post my equipment there syntax.

EDIT: I posted my current kit in the link Syntax posted.

I don't do cars much... I tend to stick to nature and wildlife and people...

Nice body Asane! I have the MkIII and love it.

BTW, in your gear list post, you state the "holy trinity" to be the 85L, 35L and 70-200/2.8L. You do own the holy trinity, it's just that it's 35L, 85L and 135L. You nearly have the "holy trinity of zooms" as well, which is 16-35L, 24-70L and 70-200/2.8L.

After using the 1 series bodies, don't you find the 5d a bit flimsy and dull-witted? I love the images my 5d makes, but I'm not loving using it anymore.

After picking up my 1D, everything else does feel a little inferior, but I still love the image quality and full frame of my 5D.

This dude speaks the truth. Sure, the build quality of the 1D series feels more solid, but nothing beats the full frame of the 5D Mark II and the 5D except of course the 1Ds Mark III and the eventual Mark IV, but those are way too expensive. I'd rather invest in a good telephoto lens such as the 400mm f/2.8.

I just lol'd my ass off at this.

More on topic though, I did enjoy trying out the 1D MkIII and MkIV at a show not long back. Also having access to the Colleges 5D MKII's is fairly cool.

The "1" series is not waterproof, but they are weather sealed with the right lenses.
