Hey Grabber Blue is my favorite color, I've always fantasized about having a 1969 Boss 429 painted Grabber Blue with a Matte Black hood, but that's besides the point, lol.. My 71 Mach 1 on GT5 is this color and I would like to paint my other mustangs this color, if anyone has a paint chip, and if it even exist as a paint chip, and could help me out it would be very much appreciated! Thanks, jgancherjr-

I should have it send a fr to crypto-manic and it's yours, free of course:) Let me check to see if it exists first.

Sorry but no such color:indiff:

It's not in the database either as existing.
Was there any other paint chips you need?

:( hmm, I clicked on my Mach 1, and that's what color it is and you can buy it that color.. Maybe it's unique to that car since its a Ford paint color???

I just bought the car, in the new car dealership in that color. For whatever reason it does not give you the paint chip.

You can't get grabber lime either and that color looked cool...drat...sorry.:grumpy:

You cannot get the paint chip because the only car it comes on has stripes, the '71 boss. I wanted one too, but didn't get the paint chip when I bought the boss. :(

The '71 in the Ford Dealership is a Mach 1, not a Boss. I wish GT5 had the ol' Boss cars in it.

I was thinking that maybe one of the DLC pastel colors would work, but they are too light. The Fluorescence 001 might be a close match.

Just looked at my paint chips, and these might work as well:
Bleu Non Metallise
Bleu Metallise
Mariner Blue
Caribbean Blue
Vivid Blue Pearl
Bay Side Blue (M)
Fountain Blue (PM)

It's too late for me to try right now, but I'll come back to this thread and run through the above list of colors to see if any of 'em come close. The Boss 429 and the '69 Mustangs have always been some of my favorites as well.

EDIT: I was curious, so I just did a 70 Cammer in DLC Fluorescence 001. I also put chrome Torque Thrust wheels on it, and then I went and bought a Grabber Blue '71 Mach 1 so they could sit side by side in the garage. The DLC painted car is a little lighter, but it's not that bad, I think. I took a picture of it, and I'll see if I can throw it up here to show you. I didn't want to waste the DLC chip just yet, so I didn't save it to my garage.

Wow thanks alot for the effort man! I totally agree on the mustang DLC! I would give blood to see Parnelli Jone's 70 Boss 302 as a DLC!

Yeah, I really, really, hope they come out with some old and new Mustangs, especially the Boss 302, Shelby's, Saleens, and Cobras. When I first bought the game, I was stoked when I saw the '00 Cobra R and Shelby 350R sitting in the OCD. I've driven a Mustang as my DD for over 25 years now (well, there was that one year I had a Mazda truck, but I try not to think about that year), so I understand completely where you are coming from. You are also doing me a favor here. I've been wanting to take some pics of my DLC cars and post them up in my Trade Thread. I just haven't bothered to figure out how to transfer pics off the PS3 'til now.

Anywayz . . . Here is the '70 TransCammer in DLC Fluorescence 001 and Chrome Torque Thrust Wheels:

If you don't have the DLC Paint, give me a few days, and I'll park this one in my Trade Garage for you (that is if you like it). I will check out the other paints I listed later tonight when I get on the PS3. I'll take pictures of cars that might look like a close match.

Hey that Transcammer looks really good! I have that paint and fortunately haven't used it yet!!! So with that being said if u want to do a little duplicating I can paint each mustang that color and reload my data and have u send them back if your game for it? But if not I would atleast like to trade you for that Transcammer if you want? I have about anything, tickets included, and I will be open again for trading in about 4 days! Just let me know!

Save your chip; I can do essentially what you described. I created a second account so I can dupe tickets, cars, etc. I am able to use a DLC paint chip, send the car to my Trade Account, then reload my game save data for my original account and still have the DLC chip to use again later. The car is then available for trade or to send back to my account. I can even keep them 0/0/0.

Send a FR over to mrbshadow. I'll get the Transcammer created in a few days and parked in that garage to send to you. I should be able to send it to you on either April 14th or April 15th. Don't sweat hitting me back. It's a gift to a fellow 'Stang Lover! Let me know if u want it unmodified or with an oil change, all the non-perm. mods, and all the tires.

Just sent you the '70 Trans-Cammer Mustang in DLC paint and chrome Torque Thrust wheels. I couldn't resist upping the HP to 700 HP and I also bought all the tires (except dirt and snow). I didn't put any perm. parts on it, so it can be tuned down to around 624 HP (I changed the oil). It's still at 0/0/0 too. Hope that was okay.

I also created a few more versions of this car with several different regular paint chips and took some pictures. I'll try to get them uploaded in this thread in a few days.

How do you manage to keep it 0/0/0 you needed to get in it to paint it so should have registered something on 1 of them.

It's pretty easy actually. After you purchase the car and get in it, go to your garage and change the Settings Sheet to B. Then you can make all the changes you want to the car, take pictures of it, and then you just have to buy another car (new or used) and get in the new car. The previous car you worked on will be in the garage, you can change the Setting Sheets back to A (I copy B to A if I made any HP changes), and it should be still in 0/0/0 form.

As promised, here are a few I tried with different paint chips (I did not check on the manufacturer for these paint chips). I tried all the paint chips I listed in a previous post of mine and a few others. I didn't take pictures of all of the ones I tried; some just weren't even close. Some of these have either a hint of green in it, they are a bit too shiny or bright, or are a bit darker or lighter than Ford's infamous Grabber Blue paint. That is one unique shade of Blue! If you want to duplicate any of these and don't have the paint chips, just let me know. I should still have them all.

Hey they look great! I have a few odd's and end colored ones on there I'll try to take some pictures and upload them here in a few hours after I get off work! Btw, thanks again for the mustang! I'll return the favor!

try checking a few of the mopar cars for a similar color. That might provide you with a paint chip.

That may well work for parts but it will not work for paint if you get into a car and paint it it is no longer 0/0/0. The paint will not be transferred onto another car under settings.

Yes it will. I've done it several times already. If you are saying that it is not a true 0/0/0 car because I had to get in it to paint it, then yes, I agree it technically isn't. I'm not sure I understand what you mean with the paint not transferring. I was not talking about transferring the paint to another car; I was talking about copying the parts settings in the Tuning Tab of the same car. When a car is painted, it is the new paint color for all three settings (A, B, and C). I think the key to keeping it all 0's is changing the Tuning/Settings Sheets to B when you first buy the car and get in it, and then after you do whatever you want to the car, you have to buy another car and get in it. I think if you simply get out of the car and into another car in your garage, you will get a 1 for the switch.

Shoot, I owe you calico. You gifted me a Level 9 ticket, remember? I can send you this DLC '70 TransCammer if you want just so you can check it out for yourself. I can send it in a few days.

The paint chip Blu, I think is the closest you can get to it.
And sorry, can't remember the manufacturer :nervous:

That is real close! Nice job. We might have a winner here. I just checked my paint in my Trade Garage, and wouldn't you know it, I have a "Blu" paint chip. I hadn't looked in that garage yet. The manufacturer is Lancia. Don't know if you have this paint chip or not jgancherjr, but I just sent it to you. I was sending a few copies to my main account, so I figured I'd send you a paint chip of it for the hell of it.

Here is a '70 TransCammer painted in Lancia Blu w/ Chrome Torque Thrust Wheels.

Don't sweat it. I have plenty of this color now. I am looking for a few paint chips, but it's no biggie if you don't have any of 'em.

I'm still looking for these:
Matte Brown
Matte Light Gray
Chameleon Blue
Crystal Topaz Pearlescent
Formula Chameleon Green
Reflex Spice
