Gran Turismo 3 cheat card?

I have Gran Turismo 1 for Playstation 1 and there was a kind of "cheat" card memory card available for that which allowed you to have all the liscences and $1,000,000,000.00 credits to buy all the cars. Is there something like that for the Gran Turismo 3? I would like to get some of the good cars early. The game is fun driving around but I am not that good to pass all the liscence tests and races. I just like to drive around with the good cars for fun.

Well... There sort of is, but I haven't seen one for sale in 18 months.

You'd probably want to buy a cheat device - like the Gameshark ($60) - or better still a PC/PS2 link - the Xport V2 (aka Sharkport in North America) ($35).

The Xport links the PC to PS2, allowing you to backup your memory card to your hard drive. Even my 1996 Seagate hard drive is 500 times the size of a single PS2 memory card - nuff said. A fabulous person, known as "mk", created a programme which allows you to directly edit your GT3 game garage whilst it's on the PC, so that when you transfer it back again you can have whatever car(s) you want in there. You can even chop and change bits of car and create "hybrids" - think of a 1400hp Mini Cooper and suchlike.

But to pass the licences in GT3 is really rather easy - easier than the previous games. So don't go out wasting your money just yet...

BS on the liscence, i got all the liscences on GT2 with ease, but the Super Liscence on GT3 likes boys real good, but other than that the liscences are pretty basic and i have confidence that you can do them.

I got 15 golds in licence tests on GT1 and GT2 (I only ever golded an entire licence once - B on GT1). In GT3 I've had all-golds twice from my two games, and I'm running at somewhere around a minute under the total golds time.

IMO GT3 licences are WAY easier than GT2 or GT1. But nowhere near as easy as GTConcept... - oh look, you pressed "X"... GOLD!

Heh...GTConcept was so easy...I think it was more for those people who don't really play GT3 that much and wanted to drive around...

I tried playing some more and was surprised I could get most of the licences. I did not get the super licence yet or the IA. I find the last test in the IA licence very hard for me to do. The last test for the Rally licence was kinda hard also but I managed to pass. Thanks for the tip about that neat software. I have never heard of that before but I will check it out to see if i can find it to buy it. If I can find the software I would like to try the program that you mentioned where you could get the customized cars. That sounded really cool. Where do you get that program?

i completed that game within 4 hours of getting it

I suppose PD didn't want to make it too hard ,for the new peeps who are just discovering the GT series..But then again it will give them false hopes, because they will then think that the rest of the games are just as easy..
