I found myself listening to GT4's soundtrack, or at least a few songs on it, instead of racing... And i'd like those songs to be on more accesible places like my mp3 folder or player, for example :P

Is there a way to rip the GT4 playlist? Buying them all as singles or albums would be quite an expensive venture indeed :/

Here on GTPlanet, we don't encourage the use of ripping audio/mp3 files of that matter. Well, on a free come-and-serve basis anyway.

Why don't you just get iTunes? I don't see why you need to post something like this.

Regardless, if you want an official copy, eBay or other online stores may have the 'Official Gran Turismo 4 Soundtrack' available.

GT Pro's right, discussion of getting it isn't allowed here, but i've got oh yeah (when you fail a licence test) and moon over the castle (main video), if you want them, just PM me, since discussion isn't allowed here

and you should probably lock this thread aswell;)

Hmm, it is a bit strange, since i already *have* obtained the music legally - It's right there on the GT4 disk. The problem could be put differently by "How do i play the music in another player?"

You can see that as having both a ps1 and bleem, it's pretty much the same concept.

Also, there is no GT4 soundtrack, just an older one of GT1 (or 2, can't remember), and even then, the cd has about 20 songs on it, whereas there's about 200 in the game? Trying to listen to the music outside of the game is a reasonable endavour imho.

That said, i'll look into iTunes, but i never liked being forced to use a program to get/listen to music specifically. It's just one more resource hog :(

Now, to see how i can lock this.

The way I see it is you haven't bought those tunes as you would have if they were on a music CD. You have bought a game which happens to include those tunes. Its a different legal situation. PD have licensed those tunes for use in a game. They have not licensed them so that they can be heard/played/copied outwith the game. The very fact that the tunes are encrypted/hidden on the disc indicates that.

Sorry for intruding on your locked thread, but we would have locked it if you hadn't.
