Hey guys, new peep here. Just wanted to thank you for the great info you have provided us from Gamescom. It's a real pleasure getting spoonfeed with all this info, GT5 seems to be shaping up nicely :)

Alright so, I'm just split every video in specific files and now I just need to synchronize the sound on top then I can upload it. Bare in mind the quality isn't perfect and I had to angle the camera on the side to hold my laptop and record at the same time so I couldn't get it right behind the driver.

Back to it now :P

Welcome aboard.

And to think, we still have the TGS next month! :D

So, back from my final stint at the Gamescom.

I had to bail out quite soon because of the noise, sorry about that, but I'm already half-deaf on one ear.

So only one video of the GT40 MkIV,

(Thanks ;)

Seems it shows up 4:3 for me, but I got it straight from my 16:9 cam?!

Some other things I noticed:

  • At least one PS3 was running @ 1080p.
  • I suck at drifting. However the M5 was good fun (Hard sport tyres) on standard physics and I was once again surprised how much detail comes across at the supposedly arcade setting. It was quite easy flinging it into a slide, powerslides were possible, too. I guess I got lucky at last with a good DFGT, because for the first time FFB was really noticeable. Sorry again, I made the most of it, but it should work out very well for you drift crazy folks. No video though :(
  • Head tracking was disabled in the demo it seems. That was what a Sony rep told me. The EyeToy was pointing way to high anyway. I tried the second pair of goggles provided, but I was not amazed by the 3D effects. Was difficult to judge because the saftey lead was rather short, but it's not going to be a feature I will miss anytime soon.

That's about it, looking forward to the sound Alba has captured.

Alba has got some sound, do you know where and when he will be posting it?

Too bad that the head tracking was not working. Thanks for checking anyway. 👍

Fixed and thanks by the way.:)👍

No problem Denur, really looking forward to what your collaboration with alba and Andreas produced. I am slightly annoyed that InYourFaceTube messed up the aspect ratio :(

edit: Thanks analog :D

Uploading the second one at the same time, it's quite slow because my dad is using most of the bandwidth so I have to wait T__T

EDIT: 50% done on the first one at the moment.

Alba not revealing the cars in vids 1 & 2 to keep us in suspense!

I love it! LOL 👍

The first is the XJ13 and the second is Karts since both those sounds were fixed by CoolColJ so there. I pm'd him and asked him to help me fix some more since some of the ones I got aren't good and maybe he can fix them :)

@Alba: have you recorded from Pc's Microphone in?
becouse Tv out earphones is amplified and Mic In is amplified...and all recorded is distorted!!
The correct input is LINE IN

First one is up, make sure you check it in HD since I rendered it as 720p even though it's SD. Let me know, tried to sync it best with the video so you tell me.

The one thing with the karting video is on one of the corners the shadow always breaks, see 0:16 for the corner I mean.

Thanks for the videos.

Have to be honest, sounding really good so far, the downshifts in the Jag were great and the two stroke going into the powerband sounded good too!

So far so good. The Jag has a gurgle mixed with a nice howl. And the kart sounds about right, needs a bit more road noise.
