Gran Turismo 5 + Logitech G27

Hello All,

I recently acquired a Logitech G27 and a Playseat Evolution (this, by the way, is a brilliant combination), and I was wondering what the best in game steering wheel settings are for realism.

I currently use Simulation, Force Feedback: 3 and Power Assisted Steering: ON. However, I am not sure about the realism of these settings.

Is there anyone who has experience driving real cars and who has a G27, whome could provide me with the settings that feel the closest to the real car?

It would be really appreciated!

I would turn power assisted steering off it feels unrealistic. But if the FFB is too low I would go to 5

I don't believe the "Simulation" feature does anything on a G27.

You'll want the Force Feedback higher though (I use 10). Even on 10, the FFB of the wheel doesn't compare to the strength of the FFB you feel when a real car smacks a curb. Definitely the higher the more realistic though.

I've never tested power assisted steering; it's been off since day 1 so I can't comment.

Correct. The simulation, professional, and amatuer settings do not work with the G27. Those settings only work with the wheels that are highlighted when that option is celected. Read the scrolling text below that menu.

Try turning power steering off.. I don't have a G27. I have a T500. But I think that will help you.. Also try turning up the ForceFeedBack.. I use power steering off, force feedback 10.

Many people here have been driving real cars for decades (myself included).. NO settings are exact to real life. But to me. Turning the FF up, and power steering off feel closest to real life driving.

I'll have to remember that tip.

There is no setting that will give that level of realism. Using a wheel definitely immerses you more into the game but you are still lacking the sense of motion and the feel of the road beneath you.

The game makes the wheel simulate G-Forces. It is pretty accurate when the weight shifts

My settings for DFGT are :

Amateur (i believe this has no effect except for the wheels shown highlighted in the menu)
Power Steering ON
FFB 1

I believe the less the wheel has to work the longer it will last and the longer I can race.
