Gran Turismo 5 RELEASE DATE + LINK

That's unconfirmed. All PD has said is that it will apparently be ready Spring 2008. Based on their track record, that probably means January 2010.

Whatever Amazon says, it's worthless. It's also worthless to pre-order something this early. They could simply ignore your order, not send it, and you'd totally have forgotten about it by the time the game's actually out, two or more years from now.

the cover looks like GTHD with the "HD" removed. I've seen all those pics before (except in movie form) and the last pic of the menu says GT HD in the corner. Major scam IMO.

I'd actually prefer it to take longer if it means the game gets done right... and...so there's more of a chance the PS3 will drop in price :banghead:

It's not a scam, it's just an estimate as to when the game will release. PD said Spring 2008, amazon have made a guess that it could be March 30th, as soon as an official box art and official GT5 images come out, the current pics will be replaced. As soon as an official release date comes out, the release date will be changed. That's how it works, it isn't in any way a scam.

Hopefully they'll have the Force Feedback (missing from GTHD) lawsuit settled by then, cause I sure won't buy GT5 without FF. I now wish I never got a PS3, haven't had it on in weeks, I'm using the PS2 with FF, I transfered GT4 to the PS3 but worthless without FF.

I feel the same way. I can't wait :scared: but I also can't afford a $600 system and a $60 or $70 game. If a couple years wait meens the difference between GT3 and GT4 than I can try to restrain myself somehow!?:nervous:

I like May 2008. By then most of us will have a PS3 and the few remaining will be ready to purchase one. In the mean time PD will finally get the time to produce an awesome game, automotive life, sim, or what ever title they decide to choose. May 2008 "a world wide" release.

^ I'm totally with you dude. Delays are frustrating, but if it will make the game (aka. GT5) far more better, features everything that GTP has been requesting for the past 5 years (10,000 cars and 500 tracks for me), plus a USD$250 price drop for the PS3 and USD$200 for the G25, then it will be heavenly! All the pain we've been suffering in the past will be relieved. (:

I would be down for a scheduled release version that might be missing some cars or tracks, which then could be updated through the playstation store.
