With GT6 having been announced, GTP's hype train is on full steam ahead. There are people with many suggestions and opinions on what they want to see implemented in the game, and in all honesty not all of them are very realistic. There are good idea's, but weather they would be implemented is another.

I'll start with people's seemingly biggest gripe - standard cars. Implemented in GT5 as PS2 and PSP ports, some of these where shockingly low quality. Some of these did get touched up over GT5's lifecycle via updates. However, in Kaz's Q&A with Jordan, he confirmed standards would return, and be usable in photo mode as well. Now I hear people complain about standards still existing - why biggest answer is "why?"

It still has same physics, drives same, and sounds same as a premium. PD has data for all there cars, but bearing in mind how long ago some of these cars where modelled, is it really realistic to expect over 1000 premium-level cars? Or if PD have time to it - bear in mind how long took for a couple hundered premiums in GT5.

The confirmation of a possible "livery editor" has people excited, but keep your feet on the ground... I don't see PD offering mad vinyls and customisation on every car. Again, is it realistic to expect this on EVERY vehicle, every part.

Also people wanting day to night transitions and time change on every track. I don't see this happening. On each track, shadows and light would have to be modified depending on not just daytime but the suns position and where light is coming from. To expect it on a few tracks? Yes. Every one? Totally unrealistic.

Furthermore, I think it;s unreasonable to expect GT6 to be perfect from Day 1. GT5 was improved via patch after patch, I would expect the same from GT6.

Do you guys have any realistic thoughts about GT6 or think "we can dream but... this is what will probably happen?"

I think that ~100-200 standard cars will be converted to premium. I hope that PD brings facelifted models such as the updated C63 but I doubt it since AMG said the only new models were the A45, E63 and SLS GT3.

Only new models for now - you don't expect them to show all there cards now do they? People get dissapointed generally when no mention is made by Kaz of anything on sound, AI - it's not a week since GT6 was announced. There's a lot of time and I reckon some in this community need to learn patience.

(Not referring to you, I do agree about the conversion rate).

I'm really surprised for the most part with what PD shown about GT6. Honestly, in some aspects I was expecting way less... the whole overhaul in physics and graphics (it looks similar, but improvements in many areas such as shadows)... the massive map of Andalucia as an example of how cooler the Course Generator will be.

Honestly, there's only one thing that I'm really not expecting right now, that I had hopes to see: the Livery Editor... I had hopes about seeing it on GT6 but it's a big feature that everyone wants... why they didn't show it already? Of course there's a lot of oportunities ahead and big gaming events, so there's still time to see...

A lot of the problems with standard cars are that many of them have inaccurate weights, weight distributions, horsepower, overall track speed, etc. Some standard cars are quicker than their premium counterparts (BMW M5, Ford GT, etc.) If these cars are copied into GT6, then there are going to be problems. This isn't just about visual quality.

Project CARS already has weather and day/night transitions coming to every track. Also, that said game is multi-platform. Just because PD hasn't set the precedent doesn't mean that it's impossible. The only real unrealistic thing people are asking for is 1200 premium cars along with the physics updates. That's confirmed to not happen.
