Something different... Here is a personal tribute to the legend that was the newly, sadly, departed James Garner.

Part 1 is now available



Reluctantly, as always, Jimbob Rockford has to come out of retirement, one last time, to help out his old prison pal Angel (lots of Angels where James Garner is now) who's being threatened by some nasty men he's double crossed.

This is Part 1 of a (minimum) 3 part final case full of car chases, tyre smoke and stereotypical villains...

Here we join Jimbob Rockford early in the morning. Jimbob's trailer by the beach has been ransacked by the "bad guys", Angel has done his usual disappearing act, and Jimbob is chasing down a suspect seen driving away from the trailer at speed in a white Peugeot.

And yes I know the Firebird is not the correct model Firebird but it's the only one available in the game...

Would love to hear your comments or suggestions for future vids and any other ideas you have to give ol' Jim Rockford a good send off

Previously, on the Jimbob Rockford Files:
Jimbob Rockford is out of retirement, one last time, to help out his old prison pal Angel who's being threatened.

Jimbob's trailer was ransacked by the "bad guys", and Jimbob chased down a suspect seen driving away from the trailer at speed in a white Peugeot.

Well, it turns out the Peugeot driver was a desperate husband trying to get to the local hospital where his wife was about to give birth, and not the "bad guys" at all. By the time our Jimbob finds out this, the real targets are long gone...

Luckily later that day, Jimbob gets a lead from one of Angel's shady friends who tells them they might be able to find out more if they can get hold of Jimmy the Cobra. Apparently, Jimmy can usually be found in the Monterey area in his classic red AC Cobra, so off goes Jimbob Rockford up the coast to Laguna Seca hoping this isn't another useless tip off.

Soon, Jimbob Rockford is back on the chase...

The third and final part of my personal tribute to the legend that was the sadly departed James Garner.

Lots and lots of tyre smoke in this one, offroading in the dirt, and the car hitting the camera at 2:40 - because you can't have a 70s TV car chase without them!!!

Previously, on the Jimbob Rockford Files:
Jimbob Rockford is out of retirement, one last time, to help out his old prison pal Angel who's being threatened.

Jimbob got a lead from one of Angel's shady friends and chased down Jimmy the Cobra in the Monterey area in his classic red AC Cobra.

Having finally got Jimmy the Cobra to stop, Jimbob Rockford leaves him being held at gunpoint by Angel while Jimbob goes to fetch the police.

But Angel being the coward that he is, Jimmy the Cobra soon gets away...

Naturally, Jimbob is furious, but decides to start again looking for Jimmy the Cobra where it all started - at Willow Springs. As luck would have it, Jimmy the Cobra has gone back for his stash of stolen goods and Jimbob sees him leaving his apartment. Next thing you know Jimbob is back on the chase and this time he's not gonna let Jimmy the Cobra get away...

Cue dramatic music...

SPOILER - Jimbob Rockford ALWAYS gets his man in the end...

Hope you like this set of vids and I hope its a fitting tribute to James Garner. If I get some comments or replies here (or on my YT channel), there might be an epilogue coming along sometime soon...
