Gran Turismo 7’s 1.54 Update is Coming This Week

Probably. Part of me hopes that they mucked up and have just released the update with the new content but I doubt it.

It sounds like the download slows down right at the end so this may be just them allowing the update to be pre installed because it's so big
I'm pretty sure there's other games that do this

Yeah seems more like a pre load.

Pretty sure they did it for the Spec 2 update last November.

That's a heck of a size. Unless they've completely ripped out the innards to update it for Pro and fix the physics. I can only speculate, hopefully a trailer later.

Edit: maintenance as well, at this rate should have the trailer in a few minutes 😂

I don't think it's this IMO. Car textures in particular are already going to be super high detail for Scapes, and updating track textures to 8K is completely missing the point of why PSSR exists.
