right distorted because claims of no events to use the new F1 car in when there are, and other bogus claims… sure…
You insist that there are events for the car, but no one knows that as the update hasn't dropped yet. You yourself are making a bogus claim.

Right well if you have a brain and conclude that similar cars like the other F1 car can be used for 800pp and up races then surely this will to but maybe that’s too much effort for you

What exactly is your problem? Personally attack me because you know I'm right? Whatever, I shall indeed use that aforementioned block function. On you.

...seems people are starting to not like free updates without tracks :)
I get free vegan sausages...I don't particularly like them.

I get free movies on TV I don't particularly like them, but I like the the tv and most of the programs on it, some are free and good some are free and bad.

So it's not the concept "of free updates" (this implies these weren't factored in to the business model and commercials for the life span of the game, they are not "free" merely paid in advance or loss leaders)

It's how that "free" content resonates, it's all about horses for courses. I get free 24 hour Xmas movie channels at christmas, I don't watch them because they are free. I don't watch because they aren't good films/content. My wife loves them.

You can't please all of the people all of the time. We get that. But dissatisfaction is a healthy part of the debate

...well, as PC player, a lot of stuff is "free", so I don't get it... and regarding vegan **** food, I don't care...

I'm honestly more interested in the potential ramifications of these four cars on the GTWS. I definitely don't doubt that the F3500-A will be featured in the proper Nations Cup this summer, for one example.

EDIT: Plus there's the likely upcoming quintet of engine swaps, which may not have an impact on Sport Mode whatsoever, but I'm definitely curious to see what comes. (I'm still hoping the engine from the Aventador SV comes to other Lamborghini models, like the Murcielago, Diablo, or at least the Countach LP400. Maybe even a fellow 4WD model like the Huracan or Gallardo.)

I like the civic but it's useless because I can't race it in leagues because GT7 has no way to lock tunes. Noone wants to race these cars completely stock on the tracks in the game.

Its yet another car that will feature in one or two sport mode races, then never again.

F3500 will be good though

I think there's a balance to be struck, here. For example, I drive a 2023 Kia Forte GT-Line, which I don't ever see being added. If any Forte gets added, it'd likely be the Forte GT, which has a turbo - and that's assuming the K4 doesn't get added instead, since it replaces the Forte. (Though I'd be fine with the K4, honestly.)

A little off topic but I have a 2024 Kia Forte GT😁😁 fingers crossed to get it one of these days (I know is high unlikely🥲🥲)

There's no need to be snarky. Truthfully none of us know what events the F1 car can be used in since we don't have access to this update yet. Unless somehow you have early access...?

We have seen in the past how PD uses cars added in the updates for the special events on the weekly challenges, for example.

You'd think that in three years anyone with more than two functioning brain cells would have figured out that they don't like the game, shelved it, and moved on but no. I've yet to understand the incentive to keep playing a game that's so bad that they hate every moment of it while telling everyone about it - and probably never will.
Every now and then when I found the game getting a bit repetitive I'd take a break and play something else.

But since I got a PSVR2, joined an online league and started creating liveries I've found another level of enjoyment in it.

Yeah some updates can be boring, but I look forward to how mental the new engine swaps will be, and also the new F1 car is going to be fun as hell imo.

I’d happily forgo several of these car packs and scapes for some actual progress on the ffb, and bouncy, bouncy, of the physics engine.

Oh yeah… the oscillations…they can either fix that, or stop running gr1 all the time, until they get their act together.

Just for clarity. Im not upset they tried stuff and bugs happened. Thats life. That many have existed since july, and that fanatec has had a new sdk for about a year, which they have apparently put on the, pay-no-mind list.. that’s frustrating.
I would go one step further and forego any cars and scapes being added for the rest of GT7 if it meant adding new tracks and features and events that make better use of the cars in the game.

Is it just me or is Hyundai purposely not using the virtual gearbox? It wasn't there in FH5 and it isn't here either, at least to my (aging) ears
I don't see any signs of "gears" in the release video. It should show a tach on the gauge when in N e-shift mode and there's just a speedo there.

I'm very much looking forward to the 5N, but if would be completely insane if they don't implement the party trick that makes it unique. With the car in the video not being in shift mode there would have to be a way to change modes for e-shift to be possible.

I might be forgetting something, but I can't think of any cars in GT7 that have selectable drive modes. Are there any?

The 5N handles well, is fast, and is overall a great sporting ev, but there are many others that do this as well. The fact you can mimic an ICE car is THE THING that get's everyone excited about it! Not including that would be absolutely bonkers, especially if Hyundai allowed it to happen.

I'd be fine with paid DLC that offers a relatively unique experience, rather than exclusive cars/tracks that would split the playerbase. In this regard, I could certainly see Pikes Peak being paid DLC, and it could be in a similar format as when we saw the Goodwood Hillclimb in GT6. Except unlike that event, Pikes Peak is far longer, and would likely simulate additional factors not seen in any other locale, such as air pressure/temperature and oxygen levels. Beyond that, I could see there being DLC that features other special events wherein the prize is either credits, or cars you can already get in the game even if you don't get the DLC.

EDIT: Also, if you want to save a remarkable amount of credits completing this new Extra Menu, I do recall that the Porsche 962 is a prize car for one of the Master Licenses.
The main factor for me and probably for most gamers who played hundreds of hours + from GT6 to GT7 is that the fun with all it's sub categories from easy-to-challenging races to win or to get substantial payout even with only podium place, is an aspect of variance and options and subtleties including fantasy/realism cars, tracks, rules, progression pace. I've already told Kaz on Twitter that I would pay up to €50/50$ for what would also be some kinda paid DLC, but an editor or game scenario changer, where we can change all the rules in any event like tire limits & tire wear, hp limits, PP limits, weight, car layout etc. This must include making own campaign mode with all rules to be customized as each&every player see fit.

So odd to see a WTC 600 event at Interlagos. The track already have one Race of Turbo Sportscars event and while obviously all the cars are turbocharged, most of the grid are already present on WTC 600 events. All turbocharged cars that you can see at Interlagos are also present on WTC 600 events, difference being that some slow cars like the Sierra or the Yaris gets replaced by NA cars like the Corvette or Viper.

With that being said:

THE NEW RACE IS NOT 3, 4 OR 5 LAPS. IT'S A 15 LAP RACE WITH FUEL AND TIRE WEAR, WITH THE AI BEING AT LEAST "DECENTLY FAST", LIKE TOKYO 600!¡!¡!

Just realized the Trailer literally references the upcoming Time Trial with the F3500-A

I can’t be the only one who thinks these lit up versions of the silhouette pic look so damn cool for some reason. I’m glad Kaz is doing this for a few updates now.

Where did you find that?
