Just a fast internet connection. The whole download and install took under 3 minutes for me

Download was fast....
Installation is 35 mins long ?? Does the install require to be online and connected ??

I am puzzled now...
The install completion is just a few minutes away, but I still had to wait for over 40 mins now... Weird...

How can I speed this up next time ...

Hoping that within 24 hours there will be 1994 Williams FW14 and 1995 Ferrari 412 T1 custom liveries available for the 3500. I know the former, at least, is guaranteed 🤣
A Ratzenberger Simtek livery would be excellent, as well.

The aero kits for the C-HR has some pretty crazy implications. Time Attack C-HR, anyone?
Probably with an engine swap somewhere down the line. Just maxed one out. 175HP at 533ish PP. Not quite what I'd imagine a TT car's performance to be at.

The Ioniq having the same TT type aero on the other hand is a bit of a surprise.

Adding EVs to a video game is the dumbest thing and waste of resources.
I mean damn, even Ridge Racer has engine sounds even though it's a futuristic racer.
What does Ridge Racer have to do with this?
They are both different titles!

Nice!! My France friends Motor Seb and Francky Franckou are gonna be really happy with the french car swaps! (Update: So am I!! :D)

You don't. Sony has put in the most convoluted updating system known to man.

Here's the process:

1. The update is downloaded.
2. During the preparation phase, your console copies the entire game to a temporary directory, not just the files to be changed.
3. The update is then applied.
4. The game is then copied back, overwriting the old version.

If you're on PS4, you can get it to be a bit quicker if you switch your internal hard drive out to a SSD.

I think this is counter intuitive. Why would people move away from GT7 for GT3, when there is already well working daily races and community base for GT3 in GT7? Why would people want to go to a less popular game when they can just hope more cars to the well working game? And dont forget PSVR2 users. And the fact that users are happy doesnt mean they wouldnt like to have some more of the good stuff. Trying to make thing even better is not the same as complaining. There can be good things that still could be made even better.
I was talking about the GT class of car... not the game.

Not mentioning the Toyota no?
It's a soccer-mom car, like you said. Only the Hyundai needed repudiating - and closing your knowledge gap doesn't appear to have been mentioned in your response.

Patch notes are out: https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gt7/news/00_3399040.html

Lots of physics changes. Enough to reset all the leaderboards and change all the PP values again.
Holy crap - I thought this is a meh update, but silly me was just seeing the content. Tire and suspension physics, FFB update, controller adjustments, dirty tyre adjustment - if these are done right they will improve the game more than any car or track update ever could. 👍
