Compare the track dlc schedule for GT Sport and GT 7, they were dropping tracks every few months in GT Sport because of the lack of content, GT7 is more content complete so they feel no urge to support it to the same level, but the track designers are still working, it's not like the whole team only makes 1 track per year.
Definitely, but I expect we'll still receive our basic rations - as set in 2024 - of one layout per year, every year until GT8.
If GT8 is cross-gen, it almost certainly won't be half-cross-gen (5Pro and 6 only), I don't think any PS game will be.I forgot about the PS4Pro - PS5Pro cross gen....
So I guess the question is:
Will GT8 be PS6 exclusive? (More than likely for 8K ready)
Or
Will GT8 be cross gen ? (PS6 and PS5 Pro)
Or
Will GT8 also be playable on PS5 ?
No doubt VR will be fully compatible on GT8, I don't see that stopping at all.
The next question is:
Will the PS6 accept PSVR2 ?
Or
Will the PS6 require that we all upgrade to PSVR3 ???
Those are the questions the bean counters will have to determine to allow maximum profitability AND lowest risk of alienating people who cannot shell out another set of hardware....
If GT8 requires me to :
Get PS6
GET PSVR3
That's a minimum of $1500... Yikes....
And then an upgrade to new sim wheels, pedals and gear shifter that's probably an additional $2200
Because I am about to outgrow my G29 now...
As much as I want GT8 to be PS6 PSVR3 exclusive:

Maybe it will not be a first day buy after all in the worse / best case scenario...
Maybe I will just stick to GT7 until they stop supporting it...
In my specific case, I would prefer that they do a cross gen from PS5 through PS5 .... That would allowed them to best get the maximum amount of people to buy GT8....
I hope they have a GT7 spec III release before GT8 comes out...

They started to hold stuff back from GT Sport a few years before GT7 released, all the GT7 new cars and tracks could be backported to GT Sport if they wished, but you always need something new to sell the next game.
Arcade Mode will have the AI using the update cars on the grid, while you wait for the servers.
Maybe… but they’ve not been doing that since 2023 as some people seem to suggest!
