lol not happening
I'm sure there's a lot of people who would want to have all GT's even just to put up on your bedroom wall, so how's about a Gran Turismo Collectors Edition? Maybe all 6 GT games, with a GT key chain, stickers, posters, coupon for exclusive DLC, anything that you think should be in a GT collectors edition, if they make one.

I am ready for a $100 Premium GT5 that had all future DLC, some tokens of appreciation would be gravy. I just don't think the wife is ready for it though :)

What does this have to do with GT5?

I want GT5 collectors edition to come out on a platinum GT logo fiber glass casing, with documentary inside on how they made GT5 etc. Then some poster, I guess, and key chain, plus unique cars that no one one has, or free DLC.

When I preordered GT5 last week, the guy at EB said there was a still a chance that there could be two versions - so I says to him, I says look mate, watever the price, and however many organs, I'll have it.

I'd like a keychain, and free DLC. But I don't know the details.

They should ship the premium copies with a (look alike) real key to whatever car is on the cover, attached to a GT5 key chain, and put a garage key on the ring too. Haha just for the novelty of it. Or the key could be engraved with your code to the DLC. And then one of the codes wins you the actual cover car. Yes it's a bit out there but I think it's cool?

"Oh whats that key go to?"
"A Scuderia F430" (Who knows what's going to be on the cover, just an example.)

Yeah I think that including the other games would be an idea. At least GT1 since it's pretty much impossible to find anymore.

Also, if pre-ordering GTPSP gives you the Veyron, Countach, and those other cars, and cars unlocked in GTPSP automatically unlock in GT5, then wouldn't pre-ordering GTPSP sorta also give you those cars in GT5? Just thinking.

Maybe the collectors/premium edition will be dowload only and include all future updates.

Quote from Amar's winds thread

Fifth wind says that reunion will happen in two forms, one greater than other and birdtamers will have freedom to decide which reunion they will attend. Greater reunion will ask for great sacrifice to be made in order to get all present and future treasures without new sacrifices needed, while smaller reunion will come in form already known, asking for more sacrifices if future treasures catches the eyes of the birdtamers.

The smaller reunion (i.e. standard price game) will come in form already known might mean a Bluray Disc so making a huge assumption that the greater reunion (premium game) is a different form and therefore download only.

I'm probably wrong but would love to have GT5 installed on the HDD without the need for a bluray disc.

it would be one massive download...

Too right! I've ordered a PS3 slim to replace my annoyingly loud 40gb fat and will be putting my 250gb HDD back in it so won't be an issue but guess it would take up too much space for a lot of people.

How gutted would you be if it hadn't finished downloading by the time you got back from work on launch day?!? Maybe it is a stupid idea!

As someone who's been calling for a Special Anniversary Edition since the days of GT4, yes there needs to be one. And it should have things like:
  • Free DLC, or at least DLC discounts.
  • Gran Turismo 1 - 4 discs, Prologue discs and manuals.
  • Special "Making Gran Turismo" Blu-ray, covering the history of Gran Turismo with numerous interviews, and footage of those days in the Polyphony bunker.
  • Soundtrack CDs of all versions of Gran Turismo from all regions, and these songs included in the game, though the synth tracks from PS1 also redone by the groups hired to do the GT5 soundtrack.
  • Tutorial videos for racing, drifting, modifying your car and livery painting. Additional liveries to apply to your cars.
  • Discount coupons for sweet Gran Turismo gear like clothes and accessories from the SONY Store.
  • MOAR...
Price in U.S. dollars... $99 - 119. And I'd gladly pay it.

If it were to include GT1,2,3 and 4 they would need to be on 1 blu ray as PS2 games arent compatible on ps3.

It's pretty certain there's going to be more than one version and judging by the popularity of the Modern Warfare 2 special editions they would be mad not to cash in. I thought the night vision goggles package was ridiculous but apparently it's already sold out.

Maybe we'll get a carbon Aria helmet and a pair of leather driving shoes by the Pope's cobbler like you get with a Pagani Zonda!!!

Seriously though it would be great to get future DLC for free, a making of video (NOT in Japanese!) and a hardback collectors book. I don't see the point of including previous games, who's really going to play them when they've got GT5!

My launch 60gig does 👍

So does mine but not everyone has one! Besides, have you played GT4 on yours? It doesn't work that well. I'd love to have all (and I do mean all; the Concepts, possibly TT and GT4 Prologue) previous GT's on one Blu Ray sitting opposite GT5 in one case.

Also a scale model of the cover car would be quite cool. No, geeky. No, cool. Yeah.

I'm one thats hates collectors editions as there nothing but money suckers. You pay $10-$20 for an art book making of video that all will be upload on the net the next day.

But GT5 on the other hand..... I'll scoop up this Collectors Edition right away. Grant it that it has stuff worth wild in it. Some free DLC would be the clincher, or even some bonus cars.

I have said it before & it was mentioned earlier, I would love it to include a small scale model of the cover car & future downloads but above all it has to be decent value not just an obvious rip off.
