Gran Turismo Concept - Special builds **Update 11** [Jul 05, 2024]

Hi Guys,
I collect Gran Turismo builds and have dumped/published the GT3 Store Demo Vol.1 (PCPX-96311), GT5 UK 1609 Build, GT2 PAL Preview, GTC Copen Special Edition (SCED-51352), GTC 350Z PAL (SCED-51097) and the GT Sport EU Closed Beta (CUSA-07836). I spent several hundred euros on the builds so that these builds were preserved. I also captured these builds on real hardware and publish the videos on Youtube. I want to create some sort of archive of Gran Turismo builds on Youtube.

There are some interesting builds of Gran Turismo Concept that have already been dumped to the public. I have published videos of these builds, which I would like to present to you. I am not allowed to share download links for the builds, otherwise I will violate the guidelines of GTP. (Even if it is a demo build) But the builds are very easy to find

It's fascinating how many GTC builds PDI creates. I would like to present these builds to you with all Informations I found. The aim of this thread is also to encourage some collectors to provide undumped builds. If you have an undumped build and would like to be a part of preserving GT builds, please send me a PM The preservation of these builds is very important to me and some builds may contain content that is helpful for modding Gran Turismo games.

Hey, I'm working on a pretty major mod for GT3, so I have to ask you; Could you contact me if you ever find/receive a new demo/proto of PS2-era GT's (GT3 beta, GT3, GTC, GT4P, GT4) as they can very likely contain data, that could be used for the mod? This includes new cars, courses etc.

I think the lost GTC builds are the most important ones to find, as they could still have a GT3-style data format, which would mean that the cars have their night/eve models as well, which GT4P builds lacked, thus porting GT4P cars to GT3 can't be done properly at the moment.

Great news!
Big thanks to GT.Collector, who dumped the GTC 2001 Tokyo Store Demo Disc (PCPX-96624) for us. It turns out that the store demo is exactly the same version as the retail version from Tokyo 2001.

Hi everyone, haven't written for a long time. I actually wanted to report something great for the next update (I teased that in comment no. 4), unfortunately that didn't work out.

In Yahoo Auction JP the GTC Subaru Demo (PCPX-96634) was offered for sale for the equivalent of 2000 euros. 2 people (including MattJ155) and I were willing to save money together to buy this demo. Unfortunately the demo was bought by someone else before. This person had previously contacted me on GTP. We talked about the Subaru demo and when he heard we were interested in buying the demo he quickly bought the demo for himself. He was initially willing to dump the demo. However, the person had changed his mind and only wants to dump it when we donate money to him. He paid a lot for the demo and he would prefer nothing to be shown about the demo to keep the value high. We would be willing to donate the money to him, but to this day I had no response. If there's anything new, I'll let you know!

But there is more news that I want to share with you! Photos of the Lupo Demo 2 (red cover) have appeared on the Internet! Now we also know what serial number the CD has! PAPX 90509 The user is from Japan and unfortunately in Japan it is not allowed to dump demos. (Even if the demo is free)

There is a (small) Update about the Subaru and Lupo build.

An anonymous person has published scans of the GTC Subaru Edition PCPX-96634. Unfortunately, I do not know the person who published these scans. If anyone knows the person feel free to PM me here on GTPlanet.

The LUPO CUP Training Version 1 was up for auction on Yahoo Auctions Japan. The build was sold for 221k yen. Unfortunately, again, I don't know the person who bought the build. If anyone has any info, feel free to PM me. Here are the pictures from the auction.

We Know the Build Date of the GTC Subaru Edition (PCPX-96634)! It is the 2003-05-17. The build is actually from May as suggested by the "Notable Gran Turismo Collaborations" list

I've known the video for a long time, but I just forgot to share the video here 😅


As suspected, the LUPO CUP Training Version 2 is a GTC build that includes Fuji! So we can strongly assume that LUPO CUP Training Version 1 is also a GTC build that includes Tsukuba.

We're getting closer and closer and maybe someone will be willing to dump and release one of the builds!

A new GTC build has been found!!!!

Gran Turismo Concept Nissan Z (PAL) | SCED-51097 | ~2003

Not much is known about the build. It looks like it's the GTC 350Z NTSC build, but as a PAL version. If anyone has more information about the build, feel free to write something about it here! COULD be a 2003 build. On the back of the sleeve it says 1997-2003. Maybe the build is based on the Lupo and Subaru builds with Tsukuba and Fuji. But it could also be that the build is based on the 350Z build from May 2002.

A friend of mine bought the build and I gave him a donation to dump the build and send it to me. As soon as I get the build I will post a new video. You can then download the build from well-known sites

I did some research for the GTC 350Z Pal Demo (SCED-51097). Unfortunately the build could only be a 2002 GTC build. Demo CDs with the serial number between SCED-51075 and SCED-51111 were created in mid-June 2002. The Micra GTC build (SCED-51352) was created in early October 2002. I strongly assume that unfortunately we will not find any new content. But from a preservation perspective, it's still a complete success to have the build

I suspect my friend will get the build next week and I might get the build by the end of the week. Once I have the build I will make a video about it and upload it to well known preservation sites

As I already thought, the GTC 350Z PAL build has the same content as the NTSC 350Z build (SCUS-97219) but based on GTC 2002 Tokyo-Geneva instead 2001 Tokyo. Well, at least we were able to save another build before it died out

As I suspected with the i.Link port, Gran Turismo Subaru Version will not work with Slim PS2s or Fat Models 50000+ as they do not have the i.Link port.

Just like Lupo Cup Training Version 1 & 2, there is another version of Gran Turismo Subaru Driving Simulator which is based on the GT4 engine with a different code.
