This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo Film Crew Spotted at Nurburgring Ahead of 24 Hour Race

A number of members of the Gran Turismo live events team have been spotted filming what’s described as “promotional material” at the Nurburgring, ahead of the annual N24 endurance race set for next weekend...

Perhaps they could be filming an ending movie specifically that plays after a potential Nurburgring 24h endurance race?
Though at that point I'm sure you would have seen enough of the track.. :P

Pretty sure they dont work for free. Pretty sure GT7 is the worst yet. Pretty sure they could fix the current beta they released by putting some money and effort into it. Pretty sure marketing a game thats fallen on its face as hard as GT7 is a desperate excercise.
Imagine thinking you know how budgets are set within a company. Any matter of money given to this team at the N24 is not going to effect the development of game 😂 a few thousand in game development it’s crumbs it may aswell be pennies. Considering modern games can and do cost well over £250million to make at times.

Gran Turismo is Sponsor for N24.
And there are some Gran Turismo Nurburgring documentary’s on YouTube.
Neither of which requires a GT World Tour commentator.

This isn't just GT at the 'Ring, this is GT World Tour events team personnel; we literally know all the people holding the cameras and mics, and Michel of course... and RSR Nurburg specifically states that they're filming "for the latest Gran Turismo promo material".

But you'd know that if you'd read the article.

So secret solved.
Not exactly, no. Unless you ignore a big chunk of why it's interesting.

Pretty sure you have no idea what you’re talking about like many of your posts on here Abel,

How do you suggest the live events and media team fix this “beta”? Because last time I checked they’re not game developers with any coding backgrounds

So many of these dorks look for EVERY OPPORTUNITY to air their grievances with GT7 🙄

It’s bizarre reading GTPlanet. So many appear to be in competition to make the most hyperbolic GT7 statements.

If a games not for you there are plenty options on the market. But let’s first put things into some context.

GT7 is proving to have strong sales legs. So yes, we can expect Sony to continue investing in the the title, and the Gran Turismo franchise as a whole. It’s not inconceivable GT7 could be the best selling title in the franchise to date. The final sales total depends if Sony puts GT7 into the new PS+ service. Something that opens up opportunities in terms of player base.

Secondly, GT7 has had an incredibly positive reception from both enthusiasts, and the wider gaming public. The likes of the cafe mode may not be for everyone. But you can be sure it will be at the core of all future GT’s. PD finally hit upon something that made a sim accessible. The economy issues of course where a dark cloud. But thankfully sorted promptly and had no lasting effect.

Never put gran turismo and sim in the same sentence. Gt has a really bad physics engine and tire model.

Many of these people actually wanted Gran Turismo to stay faithful to its quasi arcade roots without significant breakthroughs and an endless amount of shallow content like the dozens of Standard clones from the PS2 era and easy mini championships with 2 lap races each.

The game we have now may not have the event diversity of GT4, but, when it comes to a driving game, it's superior in every way you can imagine. It provides a legit taste of driving sportscars on hardware as weak as a PS4, without the type of sacrifices SMS and Kunos were forced to make with PCARS and ACC.

If all it takes to "fix" GT7 is more events and cars, then there's nothing to worry about, because they'll come in due time.

Proves more that PD doesn't know what proper work should be done, not only in game but franchise overall.

Because they probably suck up to PD, at the beginning too the user Metacritic scores are high. But after GT7 (and whole franchise to boot) is exposed, now the score was a deserving 1.5.

It's called cynicism and the battle between the cynicists and the so called "defense force" has been on full throttle since, like, the GT5P era/GT5 hype train era.

Reading the headline, I thought the GT film from years back was revived from cancellation and shooting has already begun. I liked the idea of a GT film as it calls for a storyline and I imagined they can go the kino route and make it about how the game affected a fictional person's story and have them almost compete in the GT championships.

Pretty sure you deslike the game. Maybe…

It's not that difficult a concept - money PD spends on film crews is money they don't spend on coding and fixing the game.

We all know that User Score was as a result of a review bombing campaign from various groups. Incidentally that score hasn’t budged from 10K reviews since the campaign ended a month ago. This for a game that has now sold in the multi-millions and continues to chart globally.

It’s getting pretty tiresome seeing the same hyperbolic comments which amount to ‘the devs are lazy’, ‘reviewers where paid off’, and other such nonsense. It’s immature and embarrassing for a forum of this stature.

As someone who wants the best for the franchise I’m not blind to GT7’s issues. But it is an extremely polished, well regarded, best selling title. Put a little more thought into your criticisms or you will just be disregarded as a troll.

Or maybe, here me out. Money they make selling the game can be used to pay for the people working on improving the game 🤯

It’s not that difficult of a concept to realise PD already have a budget for coding and that they’re working on it,

Just throwing money at it isn’t going to fix it, Budgets would of been forecasted and agreed upon 12months in advance, in this case some additionally funds would of been requested through their PMO process and whatever head to review and sign off on,

Just because it’s been two months of angry people on the internet doesn’t mean this will suddenly get more money, hire people and get onboarding completely fast enough to please your gaming time.

Peoples ideas on how companies work are really out of touch.

Yes, and their budget for coding led them to this exact situation, with a litany of bugs on top of bad game design.

I don't think anyone should be surprised that people are a little annoyed at PD engaging in some frivolous marketing activity when they launched a broken and flawed game that they haven't fixed, and given that they haven't given the players a road map for how or when they're going to fix it either.
