Not GT1, GT2, GT3, GT4, GT5P and TT have ever had a career mode. Grid has a career mode, GTR has a Career mode. GT has never had a career mode. Its just "Linear" race events to unlock the next with no real goal beside collecting cars, the game does not end. No second season, no rivalries. There is no point system, there is no personality at all ever in any GT game. No human aspect at all, nothing. GTPSP is what it is, not the typical GT game and not the next gt game either.

So why are we complaining about something that has never been in a GT game? I know I know, blog it but it had to be said. Plus I know what you guys really mean about career mode even if gt has never actually had one. I love ridge racer but i do not think its better than gtpsp according to ign.

Now what are your thoughts on this? if this is not a suitable topic please close this.

I think the complaints about GT PSP lacking in gaming content is a fair one. There's no reason to rush to the defense, it's not like we're all guna hate GT all of the sudden. It's a fair argument, and a fact that stinks, but most of us will still buy it anyway. But let's call it like it is.

GTPSP is not lacking content, just structure for some people. However IGN said the presentation was horrible while Gametrailers gave the presentation a 8.0. Its a mixed bag on an epic scale.

There was a career mode. You start off as a beginner, Win races in all sorts of categories to earn money until you have enough to race as a 'professional' and you finish the career when you win the World Championship.

Well that's all grids was and you'd call that a career mode. JUst because they say, 'You finished a season!' after every four events.

I'm playing devils advocate, really. It's not the most in depth career mode, is it? :P

No its not, but it does have career elements that GT does not even come close to having. It has the season rankings and a feeling of not everything is a quick race. Like real auto racing has seasons, ranking. The Human element may not be the greatest thing but it adds to the illusion of racing against virtual poeple, thats more than not having them at all.

But why are you questioning Grids "career" mode, its still more than nothing deep of not.

You're here for making arguments I think. You know why we say career not GT Mode you know what we want to mean when we say that.. You know and you know.. You know everything and what the hell are you asking for ? You want a discussion and that's really why you are here..
You just want we to say GT has a career mode you will say it has not we will say it has.. and this continues.. And the battle begins..

GT has always been a caRPG. It's just leveling up and grinding through dungeons cleverly disguised as a racing game. Collect some gold and rare items and then move on. You can even equip accessories to improve your car's attributes. Not that any of this is a bad thing of course.

It just doesn't have that organized racing season aspect to it and that's ok. They're still fantastic games. I've been playing GT games since the beginning and I'll continue to buy and enjoy them.

After a point there is no "grinding", you have money to buy anything and possibly be reminded that GT is for car lovers.

But yeah, like I said your imagination is your greatest asset...
