Gran Turismo Sport Time Trials

I have GTS and recently started playing it. I play time trials and there was a penalty for taking short cuts to ensure legitimate lap times. I downloaded an update for the game last week (was the first time I ever did an update for the game) and now penalties for taking short cuts in time trials are now off. I have looked all over the game and cannot find any setting that lets me turn penalties for running off the track back on. Please need help with this. I am talking about time trials only.

Before you start your rub, in the top left you can edit "Race Settings". From there you can change penalty settings as you can in lobbies.

Default after this update is penalties off.
