Slot 1: Qualified 17th with a relatively slow time somewhere in the low 1:30s. Finished 14th after throwing 13th place away at the corner before the corkscrew. I made up 2 places due to other mistakes, plus 1 cheeky overtake on the Scirocco that started directly in front of me before we even got to the start line. 153 points was well short of my 200 point minimum, so I decided to go again.

Slot 2: Qualified 16th despite running roughly half a second quicker in this qualifying attempt. Finished 13th, all due to other mistakes. 158 points, so going again...

Slot 3: For the first time all evening I wasn't the only Corvette in the race, since @Geauxgreddy showed up in this one. Once again had a terrible qualifying and couldn't get under 1:30, so started P14 when starting around P11 would've been possible. Worked my way up to 10th on other's mistakes, only to be punted off at the corkscrew on Lap 5, down to 16th. Eventually got back up to 13th passing others who made mistakes, plus 1 actual overtake at the corkscrew. 150 points...

Slot 4: Thrown into Top Split and qualified 17th of 18, finishing 13th yet again, this time for 170 points. Decided to call it a night here even though it was still nowhere near the result I wanted, because I wasn't expecting to do better in the final slot.

I noticed something unusual in my first lobby last night. In the initial list of entrants there were 2 A rated drivers among the field of A+ BUT they were appearing around the middle of the list. I had assumed the order of players was by DR, but maybe not?
I've had some random mixes when it comes comes that. In the pre race matching screen it doesn't seem to match DR, then when it goes to the warmup I think that's the more accurate order.

2022 GTWS Test Season // Round 4
Laguna Seca // GR4 Corvette
A+ GT1 Door 12

Slot 3 - Found @GTWolverine in the lobby! Fellow vette guy, we strapped on our velcro shoes and let our chains hit our chest as we banged on the dashboard...begging for more speed.

GTWolverine put 2 tenths on me in qualy, not surprisingly as he put 2 tenths on me in the practice lobby as well. I started not quite last! P17.

Slowly worked my way up due to the failure of others and then on lap 5, sadly went by GTWolverine as he was assaulted in the cork screw.

Then I made an actual pass, got gifted another Greddy pass, and managed to hold off the bandits behind me for p10. Picked up 7 spots and 183 points. Wished @GTWolverine good luck and I ran for the hills!

This was my worst race so far!

Well, in my defence, I'm sick. Just a low fever, but enough to make my head spin. Oof. I really wanted to finish this last race though.

Got a nice time of 1:30.4 during practice, but in qualy I just couldn't find this pace. Before the last lap in qualy I was on 15th place, until I got a somewhat decent lap, enoug for 7th.

Nothing really interesting about the race, but I'm really sad how I couldn't keep with the pack in front of me.

During the race I was putting lap times between 1:31-1:32. Got one extra position from a fellow brazilian who unfortunately entered the Shadow Realm at Corkscrew.

At least I got to see a nice train of 3 cars battling in laps 5-6, until they fell apart at Corkscrew. Could be the moment to get 4th place, but the salt was just too strong.

One guy tried to push me off and the other one tried to block the track. I managed to avoid them, but the 3rd guy did the same by going full speed with his car inside of the last turn with no Fs given. Looking at the radar I had a feeling he would do this, so I went wide in hopes to get a faster exit than him. It kinda worked, but then he just torpedo me at the first corner in the last lap and, well, yeah...

I was feeling sick, my pace wasn't good enough and then this happened... I decided to not battle and simply tried to finish the race. So tl/dr: qualy in 7th, finished in 6th.

Ah, quite sad. Overall I'm happy, but damn this last race... So Manu results for all 4 races: 3rd, 1st, 3rd and 6th.

I can't see my position in both Nations and Manu Cup right now, but I think I got 1st in Local Ranking.

My favorite car so far is the Gr.3 Corvette (with almost 4.000 km now!) and I'll gladly race again with it in the next Manu Cup!

Final Manufacturers Test Season 1 results are in... and here are a few interesting statistics I found while reading the standings for Genesis:
  • In total 89 drivers entered at least one race for them in the GT1 League.
  • The two highest-ranked drivers scored 940 and 922 points respectively, finishing 24th and 26th overall in EMEA.
  • All of their top-10 drivers had a score no fewer than 600 points.
So, where did I stack up? After four rounds and using only my scores from Rounds 2-4, I picked up 640 points in total to become the 9th-fastest driver for Genesis in GT1. With the same total, I also ended up being the 4th-fastest Genesis driver in the UK and finishing 140th overall in EMEA.

My strongest scores, without a doubt, came from both Gr.4 rounds (Bathurst and Laguna Seca), though top-10 finishes were also achieved in the less predictable Gr.3 machine. A pretty good outcome considering that I generally decided to limit practice to FP runs and a few occasional test lobbies for the Gr.3 races. Would I still benefit from extra testing, or does this new focus keep me fresher for the real thing? For now, it seems to work, but we'll see when we get to the longer-distance races whether limited practice time will help us maintain our initial form.

Decided after struggling with Ford and the lack of brake balance adjustment to go with a car I know extremely well this time around, and hey you get some pretty screenshots out of it too. Let's go!

is there anyway to see your rankings from season 1 now that season 2 is now live. My result was taking ages to appear so left it to look today and now it's all gone!!

I need the time slots for Europe for season 2. Does anyone know where I can get them? Thanks

Anyone got a picture of the track schedule for the new Manufacturer season yet?

All of this information can be found either on the previous page of this thread or the GT7 News section of the official website.

I have updated the original post to put some info on the new season for newcomers to this thread. Unfortunately it is not allowing me to upload pics, I wanted to use @Hasnain282 schedules but it won't let me upload anything. And since the time slots vary wildly between regions, even during the season, it's hard to get all the info in there without confusion.

Just a random thought could you not upload that in a new post and then use the quote feature to add it to the OP? (Or just quote directly from Hasnain282 to have it show up in the OP?)

Unfortunately I cannot quote another post when editing, nor upload new files. Must be the way the system works. Only text edit works.

Hmmm, I can't even upload a pic to this post. Must be something going on with my browser.

EDIT: Seems to be an issue with the files. I got them re-formatted and was able to insert them into the original post.

Finished GT1 Manu Cup with 489 points, top 100 in USA and 163rd in the Americas (I think the "North America" tag is misleading; the region covers N. and S. America because I see some Argentine friends in the standings).

Four podiums in four races, no connection problems, a pole, a fastest lap and two victories thrown away (one due to a bug, the other due to a brain fart). I am pleased with the results.

15th for Subaru (and for some reason Round 4 is still not counting in the Subaru standings).

Hopefully they get this system working properly during Test Season 2.

This test schedule is grueling with a Manu race practically every other day. My 1.5 jobs and family commitments will keep me away from some of the races. It's all just way too compressed right now to commit time to it. So I will (probably) continue with Subaru and just work on consolidating my DR and just forget about the standings. Nine races in eighteen days is just too much.

Either the standings broke on their site or 45 people jumped onto an Alfa in GT3 in my state on the last day.
I'm having the same thoughts. I went from 1st to 9th in local standings despite having a very good 4th round finish.
I think they are broken. All of the America's points are not being tallied for the Manu standings. My total points for the season don't match the tally when looking at the Subaru results. There are lots of those kinds of errors and inconsistencies in the results. Hopefully they will have these results pages working correctly soon.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo World Series 2022 Test Season 2 Starts March 31

Players have barely had time to process the results of the first ever GT World Series Test Season in Gran Turismo 7, but the second is fast approaching. The first races will get underway on March 31, with a few format changes and a more varied line-up...

Luckily only your best 3 races will count. I'm not even that busy in my real life and I'd still probably burn out if they wanted to count all 9 of them.

This is the spreadsheet where I do all of them so just take your own shots from that
