How do you know it has been carried over?
My time on the leaderboard was still there from last time when I entered FP.

I'm not sure it works like that, it's possible but the nett outcome is the same?

This is why I don't think it makes a difference if only your best 3 results count in 3 separate races?

Even if it is a carry over for GT1 thats just 3 extra races, vs GT2/3 which is roughly what 9 extra races.

What im saying is it doesn't matter if its an extended round 3 or a round 5 the nett result is the same for all.

But it won’t be the same. If this is a continuation, then any score in this round replaces the previous Daytona score. You won’t be able to “double dip” Daytona results.

BTW, IMO that’s a better outcome.

PD state that it's an additional round, not a continuation of an existing round. They also state that the total number of rounds is adjusted to 5.

If they were doing what you're suggesting then I think they would state that.

They could have kept the leaderboard open I guess.

Agreed. The results have a 5th round on them. It is certainly a new round and in theory you can get two Daytona results.

Unfortunately I couldn't do the Spa race and went to Interlagos instead. For the qualifying I sacrificed a potential third lap in favour of two without traffic. This strategy again paid off as I started from pole position.

The start went well but at lap 4 my little gap to place 2 was gone and I got overtaken.

Before the esses at lap 6 the lambo in first place got a little bit wide and I could manage to pass him.

The lambo was faster than me and passed me again at lap 7. It was close and respectfull and good fun.

At that moment I told myself that a place in podium would be great after turning my pole position at Suzuka into place 7 by unforced errors. But when I got closer to the leading car I stepped on gas to early after the last corner of lap 8 and I spun...

So it was place 7 again (...) at lap 9 and this was my view.

Also in this position it was fair racing and kept me busy. In the last lap I was close enough to attack after the esses but the Porsche was cleverly positioned. I made a late cut out of the slip stream in the hope to create some surprise that might lead to an error by the Porsche driver.

I could not pass but went off track what led to a time penalty of 0.5 seconds and the race was decided.

I know that some of you had bad experiences, especially at this race but I want to thank Duffyumi and Hovig for this exciting and fair race! My racing skills need further improvement, the second pole position in the second race shows me that I have the speed to win a race. I hope that I can also participate at Daytona and wish you all a nice week and pleasant racing!

I had a pretty good qualifying for my standards. Only .4 of a sec slower than my fastest practice lap. This put me in P4.

The race was very uneventful for me. The start went well and i kept my position.
The guy in front of me started fighting for P2 and spun. I said thanks and hoped for a finish on the podium, but i couldn't keep up my concentration. I made only small mistakes, but they summed up and in lap 9 i lost 3 positions in to consecutive corners. In turn 1 of the following lap i lost another position.
From there i could match the speed of the guys in front of me, but never got in a position for a fight.
So i finished P7. A bit dissapointing after that good qualifying, but it could have been worse.

What on Earth did you put in there?!

I’ve had a few very immature “play on words” that have all got deleted over time..to the point where I’m no longer allowed to choose nicknames. This one was relatively docile IIRC

“MALE ENHANCEMENT”

My nickname focus typically revolves around the region that lies 180 degrees from there.

In all honesty, I’d ban me from making nicknames too. My maturity level hasn’t developed past the 8th grade, and I clearly can’t be trusted
