I suspect the reason there are two X2019 races is this:
You won't get someone in a World Tour event who can't drive the signature car of the GTWS.
While my preference would have been a mix of road and race cars (2-3 road, 2-3 different kinds of race cars) I now understand the logic.
Imagine if I were to ace every round except for the X2019 and got to the world tour event . . . only to be an embarrassment to the entire PD showcase.
To be clear, there's no way in The Power Cosmic I'm getting to drive in a world tour event; my peak Gran Turismo Sport Mode moment will come in the wee hours of Sunday. With that understood, I will do my best in Nations for as long as I feel like competing in it.
As always, that's just my opinion.

Thanks for sharing all these data.
I have the same opinion that the best strategy is 7/13.
But my doubt is: start with Soft or Medium?
Even if I have a best lap at 2:02:2xx, with the medium I can lap at 2:04 low and with soft normally I lap at 2:03 high.
So could be an idea to start with medium and when the first drivers will pit I could enjoy some laps with none in front?
Also the first 2-3 laps there could be a lot of battles and contacts... so why to use Soft that could be used not in the optimal way?
Using F1 languagge I would go with an "over cut".
All the above thinking to be starting not in the first positions because for sure there will be drivers faster than me.

Yeah ideally you want to be on the slowest compound for as long as possible staying away from the peeps behind. With the stronger/better compound for the last part of the race.
But if you have a gap, AND can use the tires getting on to the softs as soon as practical is optimum.

Typically, if you're not starting in the top two or three it's better to start on the weaker tire. That way, you're not burning up the better tire fighting people at the beginning of the race.
For example, if you start Q6 most people around will be on the RMs and you'll waste your RS pace advantage getting slowed up by them and/or fighting.

I have entered the Nation Cup just in case and I may just take part in the none X2019 races and the late starting ones.
I may skip tomorrow Suzuka as well so I can stay in C rank and get in some practice hoping to get better on the Nations Cup races, I have to finish in 8th place or higher at Suzuka to get positive ranking points, because if I get negative points I will be back in D rank.

I did two free practice and no rain, just a cloudy sky with low light.
Let say that if rain will arrive this will change completely the race approach.
For me one more reason to start with medium to have more time to see if rain will come.
But considering the required 2 compounds, the rain has to disappear before the end so Soft tires could be used too.
But independently you will be C or D, you will be in GT3 group in any case.
So I think that you can race tomorrow without concern.

R1: Could be interesting. Something different at least.
R2: A staple. What you would expect.
R3: MR only is somewhat different.
R4: Seems a standard Nations race. They are at least using new content.
R5: Completely unnecessary. Should be a different option.
R6: Another poor selection. Why limit to these random ones? Again should be another option.
All in all there are some races you would expect there, but there are also some rounds which make no sense. All in all a 2/5 score.

Eh, I think I'll still try the Nations Cup, if only to see where I end up among the other GT2 drivers in my state. Interesting how none of the rounds seem to have mandatory pits in themselves, but instead, the two X2019 rounds make you pit so that you ultimately use all three racing tire compounds. At least, all three that're for dry tarmac! It's a shame that one of the two X2019 rounds couldn't have featured another relatively unique car, like one of the other F1 cars from Mercedes-Benz/McLaren/Honda, the F1500T-A, or even the older X2014.
One truly must wonder just what will ideally replace the X2019, since it's not only quite old now, but the whole point of the Red Bull cars - Newey working at Red Bull's F1 team - is no longer a thing, so it's not like we can hope for a Red Bull X2025. Unless, somehow, we get some sort of Newey-designed Aston Martin racer? (Actually, come to think of it, perhaps it could even be a one-make with the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH, since Newey did design the road car.)
Now, I do admit that I think the Red Bull brand is relatively "neutral," so I bet the future "mascot" of the Nations Cup will be something that'll also be under the "Gran Turismo" brand. But what? I don't think they're aiming for the newly-added F3500-A to be it, either.

A satisfactory way to end the season, a nice clean race this morning at Suzuka in GT3.
#11 board, all B/S lobby. Was a bit too safe on my first quali lap in the RSR and then had an off at the Degners on lap 2, so only started P14. Decided to go with the softs anyway as I didn’t want to get swamped. Good clean start from everyone, picked up a few places from other drivers mistakes and was running solidly in the top 10. Kept the softs going until lap 9 before switching to the mediums. A mix of strategies and stint lengths in the lobby, kept things interesting. Decent grip on the mediums, was able to set consistent times. Lost a place to one of the M/S runners but kept it steady and held on to a decent 8th place at the end. No penalties, no contact, just a handful of minor mistakes running wide at Degner 2, Spoon and 130R. Completely dry, radar was clear the whole time.
I enjoyed my time with the Porsche despite the preseason power nerf, but if I do any GTWS in the future I think I’ll return to my backmarkers. It’s more fun and rewarding getting a good result from those.
Good luck out there today. May your races have more overtakes than the F1!

Maybe not but Nations doesn't look enjoyable outside of a couple of rounds.
If so then my best track is a fitting finale.
Qualy was so so with only 10th on the grid. However I was held up by a Lambo who had a couple of offs. It would have made sense for them to have backed off and let me through, but this is GT7 where very little have any racing sense.
So I knew that potentially I was faster than my qualy.
As always the Jag is a daemon starter! I was alongside the Porsche ahead before the pit wall ran out and slotted it nicely up the inside of T1. The rest of the lap was uneventful except me going wide at 130R with no ill effect. Ahead a GT-R ran a wheel onto the astro at T1 and span giving me a place. Then the same Lambo who held me up caught the grass into Degna 1 and span out. They then quit making me more irked at the qualy senselessness. To round out lap 2 a Polish Lambo went deep at the Casio Triangle and recovered between me and the car ahead. I was able to outdrag them around the outside to T1 to take 6th. For the 3rd lap in a row I went wide at 130R. The Jag did not like highspeed in the slip, too much understeer. This allowed the Lambo back past. I settled in here and watched my tyres. Yes the wear isn't too bad so perhaps the 8M 12S... In this time a Hungarian NSX had closed on me. They were right behind on lap 6 and in an attempt to stop a dive at the hairpin I went narrow but also forgot to brake at the right point. I went into the gravel but also sucked them into the grass also seeing them mow the grass as I exited. I loose another place to a Belgian Porsche. This setback cemented my plan for the 8/12.
I come out with a nice gap in 12th. Time to put on some good laps. Lap 10 and up to 11th due to a pitstop. I also take a little to much kerb at Degna 1 granting me a 0.5 penalty. Ahead of me is the Polish Lambo again who had an adventure out of 130R and I was able to outdrag them once again into T1. I once again started to close on the NSX whilst the Lambo dropped a little. The NSX then joined a battle between 2 Porsches including the Belgian from before. The French Porsche was hipped wide at 130R and then returned the favour at Casio. The Belgian then pitted meaning I regained my pitstop on them before they came in. A bad strategy call from them. The Frenchman had earnt a 3 second penalty for their tap on the Belgian. So another place was going to be mine if there were no further issues. As my tyres started to wear I began to drop back and so my focus turned again to the Polish Lambo. Furthermore we had a backmarker to get by. Thankfully they still ghost and so long as I concentrated on my line rather than the other car I should be fine. I was hoping the Lambo would get spooked. I slipped through the ghost on the exit of Spoon and said goodbye. Lap 18 and I was really starting to struggle turning the car in certain corners. The Lambo had passed the ghost and was on my rear. This was going to be a ruff couple of laps. The French Porsche was also in the train and I was hoping they would fight a bit. They got a better run through Dunlop and the Lambo was through. Neither of us took Degna 2 quite right and this allowed the Porsche back past me and onto the back of the Lambo.
Now I was a spectator as I had a good gap behind. They never got too far ahead and the Porsche made it's move into Casio on the last lap. They tried around the outside and the Lambo came off the brakes enough to tap the Porsche onto the astro. I had a chance to go around the outside but had visions of being shoved wide myself so kept it back for a P7 finish.
Best points of the season and a good race with full on massive concentration. Somewhat surprised I kept it on the black stuff.

Mikail Hizal posted on Twitter a few days ago that the rain in practice was a mistake and has been removed.
On the subject of mistakes today is the final day of the manufacturer series, it would be good timing for PD to admit the current BOP (or as it should be called "O" since it's not balanced and the cars have no performance) was a massive cockup and revert to the previous in the next update 🙏

I'd say that not even the previous BOP was the best we could have. The settings before the last major physics overhaul (summer of 2024 IIRC) were the sweet spot I believe.

I believe it's just down to dirty air, we've been using Custom Slipstream setting for over a year that it became second nature for everyone but now that we've finally got back to using Real Slipstream it took a while for everyone to get back to used to having dirty air which made overtaking very difficult in most cars.
But won't deny that the current Gr.3 BoP isn't that good, I hadn't enjoyed running the McLaren all season thanks to the amount of understeer the car currently has which was bizarre for an MR car that really affected my driving style.

GT2, Had two tries. First time was Q2 had an okayish start. Went for an undercut (started on Softs) and it looked like a good plan until I reached P6. P5 was on a different strategy and slower but with fair racing I could not overtake. So I thought okay, he has to change tires next lap or so. Well, it didn't play out because of some dirty drivers. First got punted and lost a position, then that guy brake checked me and I lost another position. Defended P8 and got dive bombed so finished P10 instead of a possible 5 th or 6 th place.
Started the next race right afterwards. Q4 with a good start. Could overtake the third and was long time right behind 1st and 2nd. They were fighting and went wide in turn 1, so I became 1st. At end of lap 7 my right front tire was at only 20 percent so I went for another undercut for mediums. This time it worked better, but again a dirty driver stopped me finishing in top 5, this time I finished 8th at least...
I thought in higher B ranking the drivers would be cleaner and fair...

For us, it's 21:00, 23:00, and 1:00A. The worst part about Wednesday races is when one actually starts on a Thursday. I am preaching to the choir, I know. You guys have it the worst. It's embarrassing from PD, IMO.
Almost a blessing in disguise most all of the Manu races and Nations races are lame and I don't much care about them anyway.

Yeah, I know they're lame. They suit the driver in that way. Still, I enjoy making them and hope you don't mind me assaulting your eyeballs with them.

Maybe the custom slipstream in the past spoiled us into thinking the cars were better balanced than they were and how weak the slipstream was at round 1 surprised a few of us but I think it's more than that. Race C this week usually has 15 Peugeot's on the grid so it's fundamentally not balanced and one car is stronger than the others (mostly on acceleration coming out of the corners), I can't remember seeing the same under the old BoP. It's actually a lot more like Gr4 now in terms of the variety of cars on the grid and how they drive.

Had a pretty good qulay for the little practice time i had. A 2:01,107 put me in P4.
My start on RS was solid and i gained a position right in turn 1, as the guy in front of me went pretty wide.
Another position was gifted to me as P2 went to get P1 in Degner 1 on the outside with predictable outcome:
I managed to stay close to the leader. In lap 3 he took Degner 1 too tight and earned a 0.5s penalty. So i was in the lead as we entered 130R!
I could built a little gap to P2. But only until lap 6, as the former leader started to close thew gap again. In the replay i saw he started on Mediums.
I stayed in the lead until i went in the box to get the Mediums at the end of lap 9.
What then happend was more than a bad surprise. I had 3s penalty for crossing the white lines at the pit entry!
I've looked at the replay and i just can't see me doing that! As far as i can see i'm on the line and never fully across it:
Or is it enough that a tire is partially across it? Somebody knows what the rules say about that?
I left the box in P7, serving the penalty put me in P9, with a BMW right in front of me.
The M6 was on worn RMs. He was costing me time on my fresh set of rubber. It took a full lap to ge past him. He had a bad exit out of the final chicane and i could get right next to him.We went thru the 1st part of turn 1 side by side. In the 2nd half i had the advantage on the inside line.
After everybody was in the pits i was in P5, in sight of the 3 guys in front of me. I could match their speed, but never got realy in a position for a serious attack.
So i took it home on P5.
By far my best race of this season. Only ruined by that stupid penalty, that in reality costed me at least 5 to 6s! Without that even a podium would have been in reach!
I never expected to be Spa the race that does not make it into the ranking! Overall this season went disapointing for me.
I hope it will be better next time. (I'll avoid the Nations, don't like that RedBull thing)

I was going to give Suzuka a go, made my mind up and was all motivated to race but, ugh there are no races until this evening now and the earliest I would be able to race then will be 7pm and I doubt I will be motivated then, it is like they don't want people to play.
It costs them nothing to have a race every hour from 9am to 9pm.

I do wonder what sort of BoP would be best, generally-speaking? I think the goal would likely be to keep the "character" of each racecar, as opposed to merely capping the power and weight to be the same across all cars. Maybe they could all have the same general power/weight ratio? It's just that I actually like the fact that some groups have notably older racers, like the Alfa Romeo 155TI in Gr.4, the Nissan Skyline Super Silhouette in Gr.3, the late-90s GT1/LMGTP racers in Gr.2, and the Group C racers in Gr.1.
I think these idiosyncratic combinations of cars in each class have potential to make some races a lot more fun to spectate, let alone actually participate in. It's all the more reason I really would want to see more than just Gr.3/Gr.4 featured in the Manufacturers Series, but I hypothesize that'd be best if we get multi-class racing, which in turn I don't see happening until we get a GT game that's not limited by the hardware of a base PS4. (Which is the exact console I play GT7 on, mind you.) Especially if we get a lot more cars from the LMDh/LMH classes.
Also, I'm unsure about there being three BoPs that vary on the course - though I suppose something like this does exist in actual motorsport, where they do indeed tune cars differently for different tracks.
