Actually it runs until october 2004, and I'm still skeptical. This IGN report is taken from Yahoo news. Either way, It will be a "Been there, done that" situation for most of us, as almost everyone that owns an xbox or GC also has a PS2 (and a copy of either GTA game).

Yeah guys, it is true. Take 2 (GTA publishers) announced it's release for XBOX last week. I'm not sure about other stores, but Game Stop is taking reserves for it. The game will be GTA 3 and GTA:VC bundled together for $49.99. The PS2 will also get the same bundle, but for $39.99. No word on any Gamecube release yet. This leaves me very confused. As Tom M stated, the exclusivity deal doesn't run out until October of 2004. Maybe Sony's recent sales dive forced them to sell it off?

Sony had renegotiated something to do with GTA with Rockstar in the spring, and nobody really knew what it was. Well, now the world knows at least part of it.

I believe the renegotiation involved exclusivity for the next generation of Grand Theft Auto games.

Also, I understand GTA3 and GTA Vice will be bundled together for all systems, so you'll buy both games for the price of one, or something similar.
