Hey, i was just playing gt5p and was kind of messin about in the citroen gt drivin backwards around daytona when i noticed this strange thing with graphics pop in. Its not the sort i expect though like when you get closer to an object it's drawn, thats just normal draw distance. It was like theres some kind of dynamic draw distance going on, as i got closer to objects they would appear and then dissappear before i even got past them, i noticed this particularly with the trees. It was like at different points as i got closer the trees near the middle of the track alternated with the trees drawn outside the perimeter of the track, but rarely were both drawn at the same time. But i also notice this with most of the other objects on the track, it's like we cant see all the objects at once even when their within draw distance so ps3 is somehow alternating whats being drawn on the screen regardless of wether you are closer to the objects than before, like it's kind of cheating. Then i remembered a setting in rfactor called auto detail fps, i wonder if that is what this is. If this is the case in final GT5 then it has me concerned as to wether theres going to have to be a graphics downgrade in order to accommodate damage, because to me once i noticed this it became quite obvious all the way around the track. So unless it's a bug then i think PS3 is struggling to even push prologue to it's full pontential. Hope you guys understand what im trying to explain cos kind of confusing to grasp what i wrote myself lol.
