Hello all you GT/Racing/Sim Racing enthusiasts and fanatics...
My name is Paul and I'm yet another fanatic.
I found this site by mistake looking at chilicoke's mods on google,
Actually I was looking for carbon fiber mods for my g25 and thats how I stumbled upon here.
I'm in the middle of building my own sim rig/cockpit.
So far I've got the G25 adaptor and 320mm paddles from Brandon.
With a suede momo 330mm wheel and a Titanium Richbrook knob, Soon to be replaced with either a Type R or OMP knob.
Other plans I have are an e-brake - I already have a handbreak from a BMW MSports E86 on the way and have the cable all ready for the mod.
A seperate H shifter so I can use the g25 as a sequential only.
I'm eyeing up an adaptor from Sparco that will allow me to use the two buttons Ive lost with the new wheel without wrecking my momo.
I am going to build a proper cockpit like chilicoke's at some point once me and my family move out from my parents, Though this one will be loosly based on a Right hand drive Mazda RX7's dimensions.
Bucket seat probably from Sparco will be going in along with some Sparco pedals I've just ordered.
I'll also be at some point be upgrading the pedal mechanics, But I'm yet undecided which road I'm going to take with that!
And last but not least, If I can source a Dash including all the dials etc from an RX7, That will be done as well with fully working dials.
I still have my original g25 wheel and paddles, But I had to strip the leather as it was worn out. Bought some grey alcantara and I'm currently trying to find a decent re-trimmer to do the job for me., Always nice to have the option of putting it back on now and again!
p.s. I'm looking at ways to modify my DFGT. If anyone has any ideas how I can change the wheel etc please let me know.
I also have a very annoying off-center problem with it that I cant fix, Though I havent looked inside yet lol. Even after re-calibrating it's still off-center, Thats across platforms aswell.
Cant complain tho as I got it from ebay for £30, And considering it does work and is useable, Thats pretty cool imo.
