Grid tire noise

I was not sure if I should post this here but...i was playing the grid demo last night (crap game). And i noticed the tire noise was preety well done. GT5P has some decent noise. But its the same for every move you make. What do you guys think.

I agree with that assessment. Dirt/Grid has some amazing tire squeal sounds, and they are sure better then GTs.

Maybe GRID is such a crappy game because codemasters consentrated more on the sound effects as oppose to the actual gameplay.
Everything wont be perfect, unless you're waiting for PS4 and Xbox720 to come along. Polyphony tends to put more effort in the things that matter the most.
I personally think the tire sounds in the Prologue are great, though it never really concerned me.

yeah they are peety nice. I'm not at all bashing the sound. I just thought it would be good to point it out. By the way, PS4...how long for that.

I never understood the hate towards GRiD until I played it. It has a horribly arcade presentation, bad menus, and too much flash everywhere. The graphics are extremely advanced and truly hideous at the same time. The garish, oversaturated, high-contrast shiny bling-bling look was acceptable in Unreal Tournament III, but not in a driving game. Do Codemasters think their target audience is so nerdy that they never go outside and have forgotten what real roads and real cars look like? Sunlight is not beige!

I think the screenshots speak for themselves. GT5 looks like live race footage. GRiD looks like a bad Pixar movie.

Also, I don't like games that call me by my name. That's not cool.

We all need a decent sound system to enjoy the "sounds" of GRID and GT5p. I'm using the Creative T7900 7.1 system which is very weak and basic but you can definitely hear the realistic and nice sound effects in GT5p, not in GRID though! Altough the sounds of GT5p are not really good and sound computerized, the effects are good. The sounds in GRID are better but the sounds effects in general are bad!


Doesn't this thread belong in the gaming section where there is already a thread about GRID?
