Whoa - I thought that it was a bit different than that but I must have been thinking of another track. Why do I ask? Because I was just in the small Swiss town of Grindelwald yesterday!!! I could not remember the track for the life of me, and I was doubtful that it was the same Grindelwald. Now that I have seen the screenshot, however, (thanks a million, pupik!) I know that I was in the real life vicinity of the track! Ah, I wish I had played the game before I went as it is already too late to return there again. Oh well, at least I took some pictures which I will post soon!

Awesome. I love that track, man. If it is based on real-life roads, it would be interesting to see how they laid it out. That's the track that's on a hillside. You climb up this big, twisting hill and wind up taking the backstretch on a slight downhill.

I do not have much time at the moment of course because I am on vacation, but it would be interesting to see what you can come up with. I do not think anyone has really investigated this before...

I see the train station on the map, but I'm finding it hard to connect the roads to make the circuit. The train station runs along the bottom of the mountain range, to the lower-left of the back straight (Normal course). I see a few other elements on the map that look like dead ringers for some of the ess-bends, but maybe PD used thier imagination for some of the connecting parts of the track.

Someone figured out that Grindelwald was a real place years ago, but nobody could actually prove that the roads might actually exist. You've found the lost city of Grindelwald!

Sadly, we will never see a real-life race at Grindelwald, since all types of motor racing have been banned in Switzerland since 1955.
