Grinding - When does it save?

When does the game save? Does it save after the it gives you Cr & XP or does it save when go back to GT Life?

I'm grinding through B-Spec trying to get to Level 30 (more like 35) but I'm in the middle of a 3rd in a row GV300 and am worried I might lose all the races if something stuffs up.

Yes, nothing is saved until you go back to GT Life. You might want to hit Circle after this next one ends, just to be safe.

It would've ended just as I got to work... 5 hours ago...

I experienced that the game doesn't always save when you expect that it does.
At least tree of four times, I quitted the game after buying carparts and saw the next time I launched the game, that it had forgotten the parts I bought.

To avoid such problems, I save manually, each time I shut down the game.
