Gt 300-Gt 500

Well, it depends if you want a challenge or just some quick money. I have raced and counted about 95-100 cars that can win the GT500 series. That's about 1/6 of the total number of cars in the game.

For the GT500 series, anything with a power to weight ratio of 4.50 lb/hp or less should be a winner. If you want a challenge, try a few of the GT350 cars, like the Cucso Impreza or the RE Amemiya RX-7. Another goodie is the [R] '96 A-Spec RX-7 (fully modded)...one of my favorite cars in the game. It won't set scorching lap records, but you'll kick some GT-One butt, which is your mission in the GT500/All-Star races.

There are some cars that require a lot of your attention; the Lotus Elise GT1, for example, is frighteningly fast, but a devil of a car to control. The Lister Storm can be a lot of fun, because that tail loves to slide out of every corner. The Venturi LM600 can also be problematic, but a barnstormer, nonetheless.

The GT350 series is a tricky one if you stick to the cars that the AI races. It's open to 591hp, in which anything over 500hp will destroy the competition. But if you use a purpose-built rally car, or a build-it-up-yourself street-going car, you should be on the road to riches in the GT350/500 series. It is too easy to beat the competiton by entering an R30 Skyline Sil.Formula or an S2000 GT1.

I would venture to say the GT350 series is probably the most competitve racing you'll find in GT2, provided you use the right car.

My Fave for GT 300 is the [r] R30 Skyline. The Daishin Silvia is also very fast, As is the Altezza LM.
For GT 500: Calsonics Skyline. or one of the R390-GT1 race cars. I prefer the black '97 model over the blue'98.
The true killer for this series is the TVR Cerbera LM.

GT500 = Toyota GT-ONE Race car, Toyota Supra Cerumo ONE GT, Tom's Castral Supra GT,

Not recommened if you're not really good. = RSubaru Impreza WRX STi Version VI, RMits. Lancer EVO V-VI, RSupra RZ, RSkyline R34 GT-R.

After going more than 2800 days and over 3000 races, I am finding that the [R] Opel Tigra Ice race car is good for both GT 300/500 and it looks and sounds great. The key is to learn how to manage the power distribution from front to back, along with balancing the suspension, tires and gear selection. I have had more fun with this car then with many others. What the kicker is, you can also take this off into the rally section. A very muti-useful car in my garage. In fact, I think that the Opel car selection, for the amount of cars, is a good buy. The [R] Touring car is just a bit tad faster and if you like that high pitch engine whines, then this car is for you. Looks on the other hand, from the rear, not to impressive.

Try them out. For the amount of money that they cost, you will be able to win that back, plus much more.

We had a challenge a ways back, taking the GT300 cars to the GT500.. in the end, we did manage to win the GT500 with all of the GT300 cars.. the MR2 was a challenge though.

The only way I've been able to get ANY MR-2 to handle is to get the stability control and set it between 51 and 61, depending on the track.

You're right, but in GT 2 I've yet to find a setting combo that works for the MR-2, especially The [R] version. It might as well be a Whizzer cause all it wants to do is spin.
Much to my chagrin it is also the only way I have found to easily get the TVR Speed 6 and Speed 12 to keep from swapping ends, while keeping a good entrance speed in the turns.
At least in GT2 If you have ASM or TCM it is only on the cars you bought it for and even with all the CR. you can win it's hard to plunk down 50,000 of them for every car that needs them.

I never said you were wrong. You are just extremely thorough. :D
Thorough is good. In the case of GT2 thorough is what wins races.
Just because I've won the GT-300 with the Daishin Silvia, doesn't mean I haven't run it with Chrysler Concept, The RX-7 GT-C LM, The GT-40, and The Audi TT LM.
The Audi is good enough to win in GT 500. (with a better driver than me, of course).
Anyway, Sorry if it seems like I'm dissin' you. Not my intention.
