Fnac knows that GT5 will be a big seller...

all they are doing is trying to earn your business by affirming a release date so that people go ahead and reserve and pay them for a game that isnt out yet...

They are basically getting a head start and "stealing" business from other game shops...

Pure business / survival skills... Not a real confirmation for us gamers that the game will be at that date... it might or might not... it's still speculation and anybody's best guesses ;)

I am not going to reserve any copy... i will just wait and when GT5 really comes out, i will have the pleasure to walk into any store and get a copy... simply as that...

i must admit the days of sellout preorders are long gone, the only reason any company can boast a sell out is if the dont press enough copies, for example the Wii is notorious for it. There are 3 games stores in my high street there will be plenty of copies, pre ordering does not garauntee you a copy on release date. I will definatly buy the special edition the length of time we have waited guys I think we owe it to ourselves.

In most European countries you can return any goods purchased online within a fortnight, so there's nothing much to gain in that department.

Play.com gives the 3rd of May if I read 05/03/2010 correctly.

^It means 5th March, dd/mm/yyyy is the UK date standard. The US standard is mm/dd/yyyy.
Play.com is a UK site.
