Gt 5 Needs More Optical Tuning!!!

What Do U Guys Think? I Mean In Gt 4 We Were Able To Add A Spoiler Which Was Only Available In Few Colors. What About The Frontspoiler Or Some Bodykits Around The Whole Car In Different Looks Of All Licensed Manufactors? That Would Look Fat. Gt 5 Wouldn't Need That Much Cars Like In Gt 4 Because All Of Them Would Look Differently From Each Other. I Mean Gt 5 Should Go The "nfs Underground Way". Also We Should Be Able To Choose The Different Inches For A Tyre.

What Do U Think???

Gt 5 Should Go The "nfs Underground Way".
Uh, no.
NFS underground is an entirely different game. Why would one game purposely copy another? After all, gran turismo is a driving simulator, not a ricing simulator. Besides, this has been asked many times. Use the search function. Thats what it's for.

-> I agree with MiniCooper, GT doesen't deserve to be another ricer game as NFS:U already is. PD needs to learn something from TOCA, Forza, PGR, and Enthusia instead not NFS:U or MC:DE. (:

I think you should turn th cap's lock key off first, secondly I'd love to see more visual mods, bodykit's, deep spoilers, proper aero stuff though, not NFS:U stuff.

Secondly it's phat, not fat, fat is something that's overly big or wide, phat is slang for good.

Thirdly yes, more choice on wheel and tyre's sizes, with and diameter sizes would be welcome.

OPTICAL tuning?
They should have a few more visual customisation options, but I'd be happy if they just brought back the racing modification option from GT2.

^ Um, I hope I dont mind asking, who are you refering to?
(Sorry for the off-topic question)

BT-> Bigger wheels are okey, unless they don't get stupily big. (:

My whole post is directed at the first post, if you notice all his words begin with a capital letter, that's one of the filters kicking in preventing his whole post being in capitals.

Bigger wheels is good for racing cars upto certan sizes, depending on the vehicle, what type of racing you want it to do and the track, if your wheel has a bigger diameter then every revoluton of the wheel covers more distance, so your speed is higher, it's functional, not just for looks. But if you go too big then you start scrubbing the bodywork when you go over bumps, rumble strips, hills etc and that can damage your tyre's a lot. Setting the suspension harder than it should be can counter this but that would have a negative effect on your car's handling which is also not good.

offtopic-He's talking about the thread starter's silly way of Capitalizing Every Word That He Types.

Back on topic: No NFSU in GT4 please! I'd rather spend .00001 seconds less waiting for the game to load than have the ability to turn a Mitsubishi Eclipse into a car that looks like it can fly and be mistaken for a flying saucer because it has so much neon crap underneath the car(like that stupid car in the movie "2Fast2Furious").

That said, live4speed has the right idea- kits that make SENSE should be included in GT5. 👍

Umm... well... I wouldn't mind some visual customization. No neons, but rims, wings, bodykits that affect downforce, paint, racing decals, stuff that will make a 700HP car look like a 700HP car. But I would say no to the neons, and changing taillamps, and things that would just make it ricey.

Right, and no ricey body kits

id say each car has one from the manufacturer and another one from a non rice company like C-WEST

i agree.......

nfsu is a half decent,.......but still crap game....the GT series, and PD have nothing to learn from NFS:U........its a complletely different style of game.....yea, its all somewhat racing, but thats about all it has in common.

i think there should be a range of cosmetic parts able to be fittted to almost every car.....of course fitting a nice body kit to a concept car wouldn't go at all.......

as long as its not ricey, and NO NEONS......but....i suppose they would help the car get above the 400mph mark....and especially with the stereo iin the back, pushing the air around to get that 500hp boost.......it all adds up :dopey:

BRING BACK THE RACONG MODIFICATION!!!!!!

GT5 with Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini and bodykits for ALL cars like "Race Modification" in GT2!!!

With real bodykits for the SUPERCARS Ferrari and Porsche like Hamann or INDEN TUNING!

25 cars on a track and superb KI and GT5 will be MY ABSOLUTE DREAMGAME!!!

i dont think there will be bodykits in GT5....maybe some more wings (hopefully a LOT more)

and if they were to get the physics absolutely perfect.....then i think they'll put in more 'fun' features.

that's what I'm talking about, not directly the NFS way but bodykits around the car that make those tuned 500 hp look like a 500 hp car. Also it has to be changed when I buy an exhaust system for sports or racing modifications. If I tune my A3 up to the maximum, my exhaust looks like a small one for max. 100 hp power. where is the reality?

If visual modification were done properly, it would be great, if somone want to put a huge exhaust on his 300bph car, fine by me, but they'd be better off with a small one, the more gasses coming through you car the bigger the exhaust need's to be, if the exhaust is bigger than it has to be it leaves room for the gas to expand inside resulting in it slowing down and reducing your car's power.

Neon's and spinner's have no place in a GT game, except maybe as anoption in photomode, you have to accept some people like the look of a car with blue neon's underneath, I think it would be fine in photomode, but not while racing.

Bodykit's does not = NFS:U kit's, race car's use bodykit's to improve performance in different way's including airflow and cooling. I'd like to be able to choose my own bodykit for how I want to race the car, if I was going to be using the car for endurance races all the time I might choose bodywork that alters the airflow to improve cooling more than anything else, there's the visual side to it as well, I'd like to race a car that I like the look of, fcourse functionality should be the key, but you should have a choice of different parts. The only problem with this being a big part of a GT game is development time.

Racing modification would be cool if they gave you 2 or 3 kits to choose from, and let you choose your own colors. more wings, and make them color coded to your car. wheel color, and size choices would be nice. in photomode you should be able to put neons on the car or change window tint. and be able to open the hood while taking pictures.

I think that your writing style is irritating and the only thing you didn't capitalized was the necessary: NFS.

Good ideas... but no neons or tint. No. You may as well get some of those classy LED washer things .

If you had proper racing quality body kits and a comprehensive paint shop, you'd have the return of...

RACE MODIFICATION!!

yes, they should be more visual upgrades in gt5.

maybe a bodykit not to big which looks silly or even you buy a car and take it to
a visual upgrade shop perhaps and have shops like veilside and other visual upgrade manufactures.:)

also, the realism in the parts you buy on gt4 are not too good

like if you bought a turbo in real life (a big one) you would hear it spin up and if u fitted a dump valve you would hear it go off ppppsssssshhhhhh!!

and also with the brakes and muffler on gt4 when you buy racing brakes and muffler, you should be able to see that you have bought them, like say you bought a stock rx7,fitted racing brakes n muffler the discs would look the same :grumpy:

and so would the muffler, its unrealistic

thats what gt5 needs to aim 4:)

Doesn't matter wich direction it should go, Gran Turismo IS a direction, and should stay one. If you want to race more games like NFSU2 then be more patient and wait for another NFS.

Just because a game has bodykits doesn't mean it's like NFSU. Forza has them and it's fine, although they DID include the bot code from NFSU, and they completely suck.

so...many...capitals...
But, no GT should not go the NFS:U way. It would just be NFS:U2 (okay, 3). It should go its OWN way. I agree, there should be more visual mods like paint and kits and stuff, but it shouldn't carbon-copy another game. GT5 doesn't need all the riceability like neons and stereos, but it should include things that can improve performance as well as looks, with a few exceptions like paint, because winning a car that only comes in shades of puke is never fantastic. (There are just some things handling and power can never fully make up for, and eye-gouging green is one of them)

It's been said before, but I'd like to have the option to remove factory spoilers from cars, if only for looks. After all they tend to disappear when you add a race wing, so why not let us remove them independantly, even if it does make the car less stable at high speed (which may even be desirable in some cases).

Body kits (front spoilers & skirts) would best be added as a option in the workshops of the tuner village and, obviously, should be restricted to realistic and relevant cars and aftermarket suppliers.

I do miss the ability to add full race livery along with the stage 3 weight reduction, although if GT4 is any indication there should be plenty of racing versions of favourite road cars available seperately.
