If its like any other digital pre-order, you won't be able to load the game at all until the release date (the 4th). The files are on your console but completely unusable until then.

It's so you don't have to spend any time on launch day downloading the game files.

You can start downloading the game in the 25th of February but you can only play on March 4th.

That's literally not how anything works.

The pre-load is to allow you to play it as soon as it's available, so you aren't waiting for a massive download - to put digital on the same level as physical. Someone who buys the disc version can put it in the console and play it right away*, but digital buyers can't.

It becomes available on March 4th. That is when you will be able to play it. You will not be able to play it any earlier than that no matter what.


*Though as with all games now, there'll be a day one patch to download before you can do too much in it

Is GT7 going to be released at the same time everywhere? Or at midnight for whatever time zone you’re in??

Trying to figure out if I should do the download thingee on my oceanic account so I can play it as early as possible…. Or if that would even work
