Ok so knowing gt academy was coming and i play iracing and forza 4 i dropped the money on the New fanatec csr regular wheel with csr elite pedals which is meant to be compatable on all 3 systems. Finished installing academy 2012 and went to do the 1st couple challenges and the wheel isnt working with it. I know it works with the GT5 game but not sure if its compatable with the online download of academy. Can anyone chime in on this. Id hate to go have to buy a driving force gt just for this.

thanks

In order to use Fanatec wheels on PS3 you have to manually bring the wheel to the PS3 mode.

You can find the way to do it in the Fanatec manual.

For usage in the game CSR will work great, but if you'd like to assign some specific buttons to some specific functions, you should profile it under the profiler for the Logitech G25 in the in-game options (cog icon).

Also, in the in-game wheel option go for the for Simulation, no Power Steering and choose FFB to the strength you prefer.

I have the same problem with CSR + standard Porsche pedals.

Only the dpad and buttons work.
No steering, no throttle/brakes.

It lost its sync to the ps3. Re-sync it and it and you should be good to go. Little blue light should be lit. If its not lit d-pad and stuff will work but nothing else.

I'm using the CSR-E and it works great. As mentioned above you can map the buttons using the G25 setup on the options section of the Academy. Set SEN to "off" on the wheel control so it will work correctly with both FM4 and GT5.

Yeah thanks it's my fault I completely forgot how to get into ps3 mode

2. After the self calibration enter the PC mode by pressing Back Button for
one second. "- - -" will disappear on the display
3. Press Connect Button + Back Button simultaneously. A dot in the display
indicates the PS3 mode

I was in pc mode.

I haven't used the wheel on the ps3 in ages
