Thanks for sharing, Hulvat. This is the first I've heard of the competition for the area. Are there any official links, perhaps on the local PlayStation sites, that you can find which announce this?

-you can setup your vehicle as you like- is this means we can use any tuning parts or just setup what we got with the car originally? I wrote them an email to make it clear. Anyway they only will have the videos to check the times so the setup cannot be checked.

I'm going to advise caution on this for now. I've been running through a chain of websites and there's plausible parts - this seems to be run by a group of advertising companies (E1events - who claim to hold exclusive rights to the Sony gaming pods for Hungary - Justin MS and ACG - who claim to have worked with Nissan previously) with plausible connections.
But they require you to e-mail to them a replay of your best lap (seriously?), which is done in a car that isn't a Nissan at a fictional track (the only previous fictional tracks have been Eiger coursemaker ones - this is Deep Forest), and they require all of your contact details and PSN ID (which would be attached to the replay file anyway...):

I have full information about qualifications and national final. Competition is cuted. it not like UK/IE nation final. There is no driving test,media test and physical test and national final is shorter. only one day not two days.

Well, the chain starts at Nissan, so it looks legit to me.

I'm very happy about it. I'm from Hungary, and we finally have a legit opportunity to take part in a REAL GT Academy, however, this rules are a JOKE. Racing Soft, Any tuning, SRF, makes the game behave like NFS, you just have to rape and rape and rape the car, like you have to with the x2010. If you get understeer, just give it more lock, and you also have more traction than in an F1 car.
After few days, i managed an 1:08,302, but i'm sure i can lower it just under 1:08, and the pros can do lower 1:07,xxx, or even better.
but this form of racing has nothing to do with real car control. Just turn in as fast and hard as you can.
My first timed lap witf SKID off was a 1:16 (and i felt it clean), but i couldn't belived someone already did a 1:11,7 on the hungarian Leaderboard, but after i turned my "skills" of, and started to **** the car, drive it like the x2010, I quickly lowered it to 1:09, and it wasn't even a perfect lap, looking at the telemetry.
i'm sure this time will land me in the national final (not to be cocky, but small country, even less PS3s, with gt5 and a wheel, and wasn't that bad time), but in the finals, well, there is ALWAYS a faster guy, and i'm sure they won't be running these ridiculous settings
it's more about setup, than driving skill, just trial and error, cos traditional techniques don't rly work with racing soft and skid on

under the rules, anything is allowed, only the car and track is fixed, so 1120 is legal, and currently the 3 1:06:xxx times on the board are confirmed 1120kg times, i know all of them from the hungarian forum.
i wrote to the organisers, i when i sent in my 1120kg time, i clearly stated it's wheight, didn't get a response even once, but my time, and my mates times are up there. But if we didn't count the 1120kg times, i'd be still 2nd with my 1:08,3, and there are guys in the top 30 with 1:13, so, doesn't rly matter

no prize for 1st place in Qualy, so you can get ine asily with 1370, and this """"cheating""" can be innocent as well, someone just bought the game, or haven't updated it in the last 6 months, and he has an advantage. that's the reason i went back to 1.0, i didn't want to be in disadvantage, but not many players use this.

interesting that aren't many times posted, the hungarian pretty active, but nothing seriously overdone
interesting, what will the organisers think, when only 10 player sent in times in the 2 other country. well, good for them, easier to get a drive at the Hungaroring.
BTW last week i was at the Hungaroring, at a Track Day, still pretty good track, specially for street/GT cars
