So I am wondering were are people ranking at the moment? I ranking around the 3 Thousand to 5 Thousand on the first 2 rounds. I have noticed alot of times are very close. These are on the controller, I going to get the wheel out tomorrow night and have a play.

So what's your ranking so far.
 
Sitting below 500 on the most "important" ones.... might give some of them another go over the week when everybody has signed up and put in times. Really hope it gets tricky by round 4 though...
 
100s for round 1, a few 400s for round 2, that was a few hours ago. Using G27 and no aides. A tip for people is to use the rumble strips and let your tires use the inside of it (the grass part) to turn your wheels.
 
when i was playing last night i was most of the time arround position 100-200, now 12 hours later those times have become 1600-3000 ;)

Afther checking i saw i was able to hold on to 1 top 1000 spot ;)

I held 38th last night for round 2-1, all of my others were under 2000 before I was satisfied... I really hate the guy who was best in 5-5... I cannot emulate his speed thru the first corner... Driving me crazy!
 
I'm not spending any time on the leaf, but for 2-2 to 2-5, I'm shooting to stay in the top 200. I figure that will be good practice to keep in shape. In the top 100 so far for 2-2 and 2-3 which i spent a little time on.
 
Well I was up around the 1000s but got one just then back to like 18000 ish on most now Iam sitting around the 2000 to 5000. But a lot of people seem to rise the curb something shocking. And almost cut corners I have been loading the ghost replays to see how to improve my speed well car position and that is something I noticed.
 
I did them before work and placed between 8000-9000. First try for gold in all but one. Will repeat later when I get out work and try to improve.
 
I've been working on the Nurburgring Silvia challenge for a while. I'm currently about 278th overall, and about 40th in my region (US).

EDIT: Now I've boosted that to 121th overall, 10th nationally.

1000-2000 for most, haven't spent a whole lot of time on them - I will have a look at the top ghosts when I get on it next (get a few hours in tonight).

Great to see so many new members - welcome to the crew.
 
I was getting around 5000th on good runs, I bet some of those places already talked about here have changed massively. Apparently 55k competitors now.

I must retry all the events, but in my first attempt tonight I was near 4500th.
DS3 driver, if it's important.
 
i did 5th in the Nurb challange xD 38.894 i think... My favorite challenge of all.

I'm on top 50/100/150 in other challenges (1-4, 1-5, 2-3,2-4) Pretty nice. But this is just "gaming" becaus de real competition its only at the end of June.

I'm competing with a GTP nick (GTP_zzz_pt)

My highest ranking was 982 last night, lowest was 500 something. I'm sure it's been bumped way down by now. I only did each event twice, except for 2-5 which took me about 5 tries before I realized you had to drive like a Yahoo to get a low rank.

Nice work. 👍 That makes you the highest GTP'er on the board for that challenge. I noticed your name when I was scrolling through the leader-boards a little while ago.

I always wondered, did the GT Academy DQ the finalists from last year so they can't participate in this years events? I highly doubt it, but I think they should as you and the other finalists would have an enormous advantage :rolleyes:

I believe yes. For instance, while training with the SAS, the GT academy finalists were told that... "part of the training is learning to adapt to ever-changing circumstances and problems at a moments notice--it's part of being a professional racer." I am paraphrasing but that's what I remember being said.

With that in mind, they would immediately have a "trained" advantage over other participants as you have mentioned.

The 16 finalists have been told that we cannot participate this year, even though a few weeks ago we were told that we could. Obviously not everyone was going to take another shot at it, but those of us that were are pretty disappointed. At the moment it's still up in the air though, so we'll just have to wait and see.

However, I think even if we were allowed to compete again, chances of us making it that far would be pretty slim with the expanded number of participants this year. There is one exception though that some of us are pushing for, and that is for Connor Clifford (Conman_Skills) to get another chance at it, since he was unable to compete at Silverstone due to his father passing away at the beginning of the trip, and he went home.

The chances of the Silverstone tests being exactly the same as last year is also pretty slim. Even people that watched the TV show would have an advantage, no?
 
Yep, just whizzed through the first challenges.. typically 10,000th-25,000th and that's easily enough to Gold them.... I'm not after bragging rights - I just want the prize cars :D
 
Got golds in all, Had 3-4 retries through out. I was never ranked under 4,000. Was in the top 2,000 in a few. Didn't really try hard on most of them. I'm using a Fanatec GT3rs.
